Horizontal Steel Coil Wrapping Machine

Horizontal Steel Coil Wrapping Machines are designed for packaging heavy steel coils in a horizontal (eye-to-sky) orientation. Unlike vertical eye-through wrapping machines, the coil remains supported horizontally while the wrapping ring rotates around the coil circumference, creating a secure and uniform protective package.

This heavy-duty configuration is particularly suitable for large-diameter coils, heavy slit coils, hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils, stainless steel, aluminum, and copper coils that require stable and balanced handling during the packaging phase.

Heavy-Duty Eye-to-Sky (Horizontal) Orbital Wrapping Machine

The machine automatically rotates the wrapping ring while powered support rollers drive the coil at a synchronized speed, ensuring an even overlap and consistent material tension throughout the wrapping cycle. Multiple packaging materials—including stretch film, VCI film, PE film, kraft paper, woven tape, and composite wrapping materials—can be applied individually or in combination to provide robust protection against moisture, dust, corrosion, scratches, and transportation damage.

Controlled by a PLC and touch-screen HMI, operators can easily adjust ring speed, roller speed, overlap ratio, and wrapping tension for different coil sizes and packaging requirements. Heavy-duty polyurethane-coated support rollers protect finished coil surfaces from scratches while providing stable rotation for large and heavy products. The machine can also be integrated with automatic loading systems, conveyor lines, coil cars, strapping machines, weighing stations, and labeling systems to create a fully automated steel coil packaging solution.
