1)Vertical type coil wrapping: it is coil ID toward to wall with coil standing for wrapping that is normally for ecomomic solution. This kind of packing way is for coil loading by rolling in&out, forklift or crane...

The horizontal type wrapping is able provide the good packing for irregular coil shape, light weight and small ID packaging. 

(3)Packaging Materials: There are many coil packing materials in the market that is vary from different coil package and different company. Following is the tipical packing material for coil packing.

Stretch film: It is an economic packing material in name of LLDPE which is able provide a sealed packaging for coil with good tension control and enough overlap rage. So it is the first choice for the water or moisture isolated packaging.

Paper: The strength of the paper is week so the original paper can not be used to coil wrapping. But after reinforce treatment with pp belts, PE film covering, the paper works for steel coil, wire coi, copper coil...packaging. After packaging by paper the surface of the package is wear-resisting. Also the paper provides the VCI formula that is for moisture proved packaging for sea worth package or raining season package.

HDPE/PE: It is an no glue type film, the thickness is >50microm that is for protecting the package from scraping.

Wolven knit belt: Usually the row material is PP, the knit belt is flixiable but it is stronger than paper and film. So it is popular in the razor wire , steel coil , wrire coil packaging. Because of it is able provide the rough package from scrapping in transportation.







TIP 2: ENSURE THE RING SIZE MATCHES YOUR COIL PACKAGING NEEDS BEFORE SELECTING A MACHINE

The tightness of the wrap must be carefully calibrated. The containment force—the force exerted by the wrap multiplied by the number of layers—should be adjusted according to the load's characteristics, whether heavy, light, or unstable. The wrapping pattern should be determined based on the specific requirements of the load, including the combination of packing materials and the wrap force setting.

Avoid low-quality films that are more likely to fail. Instead, invest in higher-quality films that can stretch adequately and withstand the rigors of transport. Experiment with the tension settings to find the optimal containment force for your products.

Don’t buy “cheap” film. Low quality has higher risk for flaws (gels, nicks, tears). “Cheap” film may be less resistant to tear and doesn’t have the ability to stretch as far as performance films. Setting the wrap force depends on different package size. Upon your film and product, play around with the tension of the film to determine the best setting. Make sure the machine you buy will get the job done. Don’t guess, test. Get help if you’re not sure.
