Turnkey Coil Packing Lines: Delivery & Commissioning | FHOPE
A turnkey coil packing line project needs a written boundary: supply scope, site readiness, installation responsibilities, commissioning, training, and handover. Learn what to define before the contract is signed.
Delivery, Installation and Commissioning: What a Turnkey Project Includes
Delivery, Installation and Commissioning: What a Turnkey Project Includes
A turnkey project only works if both sides know where the supplier's scope ends and the customer's begins. Here is what our turnkey automatic coil packing line projects include and what the customer usually prepares.
Equipment and Controls
- All line stations in the agreed configuration, for example turnstile, down-ender, conveyors, wrapper, strapping, weighing and labeling, and stacking
- Switch gear and isolation transformer, and control hardware housed in our panels
- Field wiring with push-button stations, terminal boxes and junction boxes
- Field sensors (proximity and limit switches) and solenoids
- Main components from named brands: Siemens PLC and frequency converters, Autonics sensors and Schneider switches; the HMI touch screen is chosen per project from Mitsubishi, Siemens, MCGS or Delta

Engineering Documentation
- CAD wiring diagram, terminal diagram and control panel diagram
- PLC program (Siemens STEP7)
- Spare parts list
Spare Parts and Tooling
- A starting set of spare parts, for example bearings, panel switches, fuses and breakers
- A tool box with a set of tools
Delivery
- Standard export packing, or FCL containers for larger lines
- Typical delivery after down payment: about 90 days for a compact line, about 120 days for larger eye-through wrapping systems, and about 150 days for radial strapping machines
- Switch cabinets: about 800 mm wide on small standalone machines and 1200–1600 mm on medium machines; on large lines the cabinet system is split into transport units no wider than 3600 mm
Factory and Site Acceptance
- FAT: after building, we run and debug the machine in our factory, and you inspect it there. Alternatively, you can accept the machine remotely: we test-run it and send inspection videos and photos.
- SAT: after installation and commissioning, you run the machine on site for acceptance.

Installation and Commissioning
Our engineers install and commission the line on site. Typical durations are 1–2 days for small machines, about 1 week for customized machines, 10–15 days for large customized machines, and about 30 days for a large complete project. On larger projects, we also supervise erection and support the performance tests.

Training
We train the operators and maintenance staff during commissioning: 1–3 days as standard, and 3 days for automatic lines. For extra support during the first production runs, you can buy a production-accompaniment service package.
After Handover
- 2-year warranty
- Lifetime technical support
