Operation Guide & Control Systems
1. Control Panel Buttons & Switches
- POWER: Main rotary switch to connect or completely cut off power supply to the unit.
- EMERGENCY STOP: Safety master switch. Pressing this immediate halts all moving axes and system circuits.
- MANUAL/AUTO: Mode selector toggle. MANUAL mode is utilized for maintenance, parameter testing, and custom overrides. AUTO mode is the standard production operating configuration.
- RING START: Operates as the cycle activation key in AUTO mode. In MANUAL mode, pressing this activates the turning ring.
- RING STOP: Stops execution of the current wrapping sequence in AUTO mode, or brings the ring to a stop in MANUAL mode.
- RING RESET: Resets the turning ring and supporting rollers back to their baseline home positions (functional in MANUAL mode only).
- CUTTER: Triggers the automated mechanical tape cutter manually. Active during both MANUAL and AUTO operational statuses.
- ROLLER RUNNING (FWD/REV): Controls clockwise or counterclockwise movement of the support rollers under MANUAL configuration. Inactive during AUTO operation.
2. Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Configuration
- Ring Speed: Setting range: 0 ~ 61.5 Hz. Set via the potentiometer inside the electrical cabinet.
- Roller Speed: Setting range: 30 ~ 50 Hz. Set via the potentiometer inside the electrical cabinet.
- Package OD / ID / Width: Input the exact physical dimensions of the target load directly in millimeters (mm).
- ADD Packing Material: If calculated material volume is insufficient, increase this parameter (Range: 0-3; standard default value is 0).
- Package Stop Station: Calibration offset factor used to correct rotational stopping positioning errors (Range: 0-50).
- Once Wrapping: Standard automation default. Applicable when the required volume of tape can fully reside on the storage wheel at one time.
- Twice Wrapping: Programmed for larger components requiring more tape capacity than single storage allows. The sequence splits into two cycles, automatically pausing midway for material replenishment.
Step-by-Step Operating Sequence
- 1Rotate the master POWER switch clockwise to feed mainline electricity to the system box.
- 2Release the EMERGENCY STOP button by rotating it clockwise. Verify that the indicator lighting on top of the electrical enclosure illuminates.
- 3Toggle the MANUAL/AUTO switch over to the AUTO position. Configure relevant product sizes and target speeds via the HMI terminal interface.
- 4Using a flexible lifting sling attached to an overhead crane, safely lower the raw coil target directly onto the central axis of the support rollers. Reposition safety protective rollers tightly around the piece.
- 5Thread the packaging tape along the designated mechanical routing tracks and securely fix the leading tape end to the start point on the coil body.
- 6Clear the perimeter and press the RING START button. The machine will autonomously complete the program loop. Secure the tail end of the tape using structural adhesive tape once finished.
- 7Hoist the fully wrapped object cleanly away from the rollers using the overhead crane setup. Reset parameters if necessary and begin the next cycle.
