Executive summary
A pallet wrapped deep in the dock area is the one the truck can load last and unload first, and getting the forklift to it is what M-shape design is about. This truck access pallet stretch wrapping machine uses an M-shaped turntable for direct floor-level forklift access, with powered pre-stretch and PLC automation. We build truck access pallet wrapping machines. Pallet range and layout are confirmed per project.

Why truck access matters
A pallet wrapper that needs a ramp and a pit forces the forklift on a detour, and slows the dock every time a load goes in or out. Floor-level access is what lets the forklift come straight to the machine. Making access direct is what the M-type design addresses. The layout and forklift flow are confirmed per project.
What the machine does
The machine wraps pallets on an M-shaped turntable that sits at floor level, so the forklift places and takes loads directly. Wrapping runs under PLC automation with powered pre-stretch applying the film at a set tension. Because the turntable is at dock height, the load’s trip is a straight drive. The covered cycle is confirmed per project.
The M shaped turntable
The M-shaped turntable is open at floor level, letting the forklift place the pallet directly on the wrap position and take it away the same way. M-shape geometry is what eliminates ramps and pits from the dock layout. Direct access is what keeps the machine simple to feed. The turntable and its access follow the pallet and the dock, confirmed per project.
Powered pre-stretch
Powered pre-stretch stretches the film before it reaches the load, so the wrap tightens around the pallet while using the film consistently. Pre-stretch is what lets the machine hold load stability with an even, controlled film application. Film savings ride on that consistent stretch. The pre-stretch ratio follows the film grade, confirmed per project.
PLC automation
The wrap cycle runs on PLC automation, programming the wrap pattern, passes and tension for the load. PLC automation is what makes each load’s wrap repeatable and what lets the machine change recipes between load types. The operator selects the program and the machine follows it. The PLC programs and recipes are confirmed per project.
The industrial build
The machine is built on a heavy-duty steel frame for the continuous work of a dock environment. An industrial build is what keeps the wrapper running through sustained loads and shifts. The machine takes the day-to-day of a working dock without wearing down early. The build and its duty are confirmed per project.
Typical configuration
Figures below list functional design boundaries rather than numeric values, and are confirmed per project.
| Parameter | Typical range, confirmed per project |
|---|---|
| Pallet | dock range |
| Turntable | M shape, floor level |
| Stretch | powered pre-stretch |
| Control | PLC |
| Build | industrial |
| Electrical supply | 380 V three phase 50 Hz, or 220 V single phase for light machines, selected per project |
What the video shows
Our footage shows a truck access pallet stretch wrapping machine with a forklift feeding it at floor level. It is a general demonstration, so your pallet range and layout are confirmed with us per project.
Selection checklist
| Question | Confirm per project |
|---|---|
| Pallet | dock loads |
| Turntable | floor access |
| Stretch | pre-stretch |
| Control | PLC |
| Build | duty |
| Electrical supply | voltage, phase and frequency on site |
Operation and safety
Run the recipe from the panel and the machine wraps each pallet automatically on the M-turntable. Keep clear of the turntable path, film carriage and pre-stretch unit while the machine runs, with guarding and emergency stops at the operator position. Routine checks cover the turntable, stretch unit, film feed, sensors and control, per the machine manual. Confirm the recipe against the pallet before each run so loads stay stable.
Engineering FAQ
Q: Why an M-shaped turntable? A: It sits at floor level, giving forklift access without ramps or pits.
Q: What does powered pre-stretch do? A: It stretches film before the load, tightening the wrap consistently.
Q: Why PLC automation? A: It programs the wrap cycle so each load’s wrap is repeatable.
Q: What keeps it running on the dock? A: A heavy-duty steel frame built for continuous work.
Q: What loads does it wrap? A: Pallet loads at the dock, confirmed per project.
