Comprehensive Guide to Post-Sales Support & Spare Parts Management

At FHOPEPACK, we understand that purchasing an automated packing line is a capital investment that requires sustained operational efficiency. Our approach to After-Sales Service and Spare Parts Management is engineered to minimize Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

We structure our support into a tiered service architecture and a hybrid spare parts strategy to ensure global coverage and technical precision.

1. Service Level Architecture (SLA)

We recognize that different facilities have different internal capabilities. Therefore, we offer three distinct tiers of service—Standard, Silver, and Gold—to match your operational requirements.

Feature / Service Scope Standard Service
(Base)
Silver Service
(On-Site)
Gold Service
(Premier)
Remote Debugging & Guidance
Lifetime Technical Support
Warranty Parts Replacement (Excl. wear parts) (Excl. wear parts) (Excl. wear parts)
On-Site Installation & Commissioning
Operator Training & Handover
Pre-Design Site Survey
Periodic Remote Diagnostics
Periodic On-Site Maintenance
Data Analysis & Optimization Report

Standard Service

Designed for teams with strong internal engineering capabilities. We provide full remote access support (via PLC/HMI modules) to guide your team through debugging and logic adjustments. This includes free replacement of non-wear components during the warranty period.

Silver Service

Our most popular tier. In addition to standard support, we deploy engineers to your facility for physical installation, loop testing, and formal handover. This ensures the machine is calibrated to your specific environmental conditions.

Gold Service

A lifecycle partnership. We begin before manufacturing with an on-site survey to map your layout. Post-installation, we perform regular health checks (remote and on-site) and provide data-driven reports to optimize cycle times and reduce consumption.

2. Global Localized Support Network

To bridge geographical gaps, we have established a hybrid support network consisting of HQ experts and local partners. This structure ensures that language barriers and time zone differences do not impede critical support.

  • Direct Engineering Deployment

HQ engineers certified to travel globally for complex commissioning.

  • Local Presence

Agents and resident engineers in key industrial hubs:

Americas: USA, Mexico Eurasia: Russia, India

3. Spare Parts Ecosystem

Our spare parts strategy focuses on Availability and Interchangeability. We categorize components into two classes.

A

Standard Commercial Parts (COTS)

  • Components: Motors, Gearboxes, Photoelectric Sensors, PLCs, Pneumatics.
  • Strategy: "Open Spec" Philosophy.
  • Sourcing: Recognized brands (e.g., SEW, Siemens, Sick, Omron).

Client Benefit: We provide detailed Bill of Materials (BOM). Purchase locally to save on shipping and customs.

B

Proprietary & Specialized Parts

  • Components: Machined structural parts, specialized drive systems, transmission elements.
  • Strategy: OEM Quality Assurance.
  • Sourcing: OEM Direct (Recommended) or Local Fabrication (via CAD drawings for non-critical parts).

Engineering Note

The Case for OEM Critical Spares

Certain components undergo rigorous R&D iterations and specialized manufacturing processes that are difficult to replicate in standard machine shops.

Case Study: Friction Wheels (Steel Coil Strapping Machines)

The friction wheel is a high-stress component critical for strap tensioning.

Material Requires specific alloy steel compositions.
Process Multi-stage heat treatment & surface hardening.
Result: OEM wheels offer superior durability. Locally machined copies often fail prematurely due to fatigue or lack of metallurgical data.

Summary of Workflow

1
Issue Identification
Remote diagnosis via IoT module or video conference.
2
Part Classification
Determine if the fault lies with a Standard Part or a Specialized Part.
3
Resolution Path
Standard: Customer buys locally (fastest). Specialized: FHOPEPACK dispatches or provides emergency drawings.
4
Service Execution
Remote guidance for replacement (Standard) or Engineer dispatch (Silver/Gold).
