Executive summary A 180 degree pallet inverter clamps a loaded pallet between two plates and turns it upside down, so the pallet can be swapped or taken off without restacking by hand. Our clip, about 48 s long, shows a strapped stack of sheets on a wooden pallet turning steadily from upright to fully inverted inside a fenced area. Our FPFZ-1 inverter takes loads up to 1.2 t and turns them in about 50 s.

- 0 bis etwa 9 s. A strapped stack of sheets on a wooden pallet stands between the blue plates, with a second board on top. The plates close on the load and the turn starts.
- Etwa 9 bis 18 Sekunden. The clamp turns, and the load leans over until it lies on its side.
- Etwa 18 bis 36 Sekunden. The turn goes on past horizontal, with the stack held tight between the plates.
- Etwa 36 bis 42 Sekunden. The load is upside down. The pallet that was at the bottom is now on top, and a label that started near the top is now near the floor.

The full turn on the clip takes about 42 s, close to the quoted turnover time of about 50 s. The times come from frames about 3 s apart.
How a 180 degree pallet inverter works
A forklift sets the loaded pallet on the inverter. The pressing device closes on the load and holds it between the two plates. The whole body then turns through 180 degrees, so the load ends upside down with its top on the lower plate.
The inverter is fixed by its dead weight, so it needs no floor anchors. The turning speed is adjustable, and the motion is steady and without vibration. Stop blocks, both mechanical and electric, end the turn at the right point.

After the turn, the old pallet can be lifted off and a new one or a slip sheet used. Many users keep their own pallets in-house this way.

Taktprüfung
At about 50 s per turn, the rotation alone allows up to about 72 loads an hour, before clamping, pallet swap and unloading. With forklift loading and unloading, an illustrative 2 min per load gives 30 loads an hour.
For most pallet swaps that is enough, and the forklift is the limit. If loads arrive faster, we add a conveyor in and out.
Selection checklist for a pallet inverter
- Load size, against L 1200 mm, W 1100 to 1200 mm and H 1200 to 2000 mm.
- Load weight, against 1.2 t.

Kontrollen und Sicherheit
On the clip, the inverter turns inside a yellow mesh fence with nobody inside it. Anyone inside the fence while the clamp turns is the move to design out. The wireless remote lets the operator start and watch the turn from outside the fence.
Stop, isolate and lock out the inverter before anyone enters the fence, frees a load or adjusts the pressing device. The separate electrical box keeps testing and fault-finding away from the turning body.
