Resumen ejecutivo
Plastic pipe, aluminium profile and copper or steel tube leave the line in long bundles that scratch, bend and pick up dirt if they are packed by hand. Our semi-automatic horizontal orbital stretch wrapper spirals stretch film around the bundle as it moves through a ring, so every bundle gets the same tight, sealed cover. The wrapper has a compact blue base with handwheels, a red orbital ring with the film roll, a red guard frame and a control box. A bundle of aluminium profiles is pushed through the ring on roller tables and comes out with a smooth film spiral along its length.

The packing technology
- Ring and friction wheel drive: the ring is driven by friction wheels; the friction is adjustable and the ring speed is set by an inverter, with soft start and stop.
- Transporte de película: the film roll rides on the ring; its tension is adjustable so the film lies flat on round pipe and on flat profile faces.
- Roller tables: unpowered roller tables in front of and behind the ring carry the bundle; the operator pushes it through at a steady pace.
- Photocell and PLC: a photocell detects the bundle and the PLC starts and stops the ring; the ring stops at a reset position.
- Film cutter and feeder (option): clamps, cuts and holds the film for the next bundle.

The bundle cross-section must pass through the 450 mm ring with clearance for the film carriage, so the bundle diagonal must stay well under 450 mm. The net maximum bundle width and height for your pipe or tube is confirmed at quote.
Overlap and film maths
Feed per ring turn (mm) = wrapping speed (mm/min) ÷ ring speed (r/min).
Overlap (%) = (1 − feed per turn ÷ film width) × 100.
Film per metre of bundle (m) ≈ bundle perimeter (m) × turns per metre.
Example only: at 10 m/min and 120 r/min, the bundle moves about 10,000 ÷ 120 ≈ 83 mm per turn. With 150 mm film the overlap is about (1 − 83 ÷ 150) × 100 ≈ 45%. A bundle with a 0.6 m perimeter needs 1,000 ÷ 83 ≈ 12 turns per metre, so about 0.6 × 12 ≈ 7.2 m of film per metre before stretch.
Best practices for pipe and tube
- Plastic pipe: keep the film tension low enough that thin-wall pipe does not oval.
- Aluminium profile: use a higher overlap on decorative faces, and add paper or foam on sharp edges.
- Copper and steel tube: wrap dry tube only; trapped moisture under film causes stains.
- Long bundles: support the bundle on rollers on both sides of the ring, so it does not sag and twist the spiral.
- Fecha de finalización: leave the ends open for air, or cap them before wrapping if dust is the bigger risk.

Seguridad
We design horizontal wrappers to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment. A guardrail protects the ring area, and the ring has soft start and stop.
