Resumen ejecutivo
Anodized and powder-coated aluminum profiles scratch when bundles are tied by hand and slide against each other. Our aluminum profile stretch wrapping machine pushes the bundle through a rotating film ring on driven rollers. The film covers the whole length in an overlapping spiral, so the profiles stay tight, clean and dry from extrusion plant to site.
The bundle runs on rubber-covered rollers into a yellow film ring. A side guide keeps it on the centre line, and a pneumatic press roller above the ring holds the profiles down so they do not lift while the film pulls on them. The rollers continue on the far side of the ring to carry the wrapped bundle out.

Why wrap profile bundles
A bundle of profiles moves as one piece only if something holds it tight. Tape at a few points leaves the faces open between the bands, and the profiles rub when the bundle flexes on a forklift. A full-length film spiral holds every profile, keeps dust off the finished surface and shows the profile through the film for checking.

- The operator sets the bundle on the infeed rollers against the side guide.
- The front sensor sees the bundle and the press roller comes down.
- The film end is held and the ring starts as the bundle moves forward.
- The rollers carry the bundle through the ring at a steady speed.
- At the tail the ring adds reinforcement turns, set in the program, then the film is cut automatically.
- The press roller lifts and the wrapped bundle runs out on the outfeed.

Profile lengths of 6 m and more need extra support tables beyond the 2,000 mm conveyors. Film tension and film thickness for your bundle are confirmed at quote.
Will my bundle fit the ring
Bundle diagonal = √(width² + height²)
Example only: a 120 × 80 mm bundle has a diagonal of √(120² + 80²) ≈ 144 mm, inside the 50–200 mm envelope. A 160 × 140 mm bundle gives about 213 mm and is too large for this model, so it moves to a larger ring.
Check the weight as well: a 6 m bundle of profiles at 2 kg/m per profile and 8 profiles weighs 6 × 2 × 8 = 96 kg, just inside the 100 kg limit.
Overlap and film use
Bundle travel per ring turn = conveying speed ÷ ring speed
Overlap = 1 − travel per turn ÷ film width
Example only: at 6 m/min conveying and 120 r/min ring speed the bundle travels 6,000 ÷ 120 = 50 mm per ring turn. If it travels 50 mm per ring turn and the film is 100 mm wide, the overlap is 1 − 50 ÷ 100 = 50%. Each metre of bundle then takes 1,000 ÷ 50 = 20 ring turns.
The 144 mm bundle above has a perimeter of 2 × (120 + 80) = 400 mm, so it takes about 20 × 0.4 = 8 linear metres of applied film per metre of bundle. That is film on the load after stretch; the length drawn off the roll is shorter by the stretch the brake puts in.

Seguridad
We design to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment. The ring sits behind electro-welded mesh guards, and the soft start keeps the bundle from jerking under the press roller.
Preguntas frecuentes sobre ingeniería
Q: Will the film mark a powder-coated surface? A: Stretch film lies on the surface without adhesive. For high-gloss finishes, paper can go under the film.
Q: Why is a press roller needed? A: The film pulls the bundle sideways and up as the ring turns. The press roller holds it on the rollers so the spiral stays even.
Q: Can it wrap single profiles? A: Yes, inside the 50–200 mm envelope and over 1,000 mm long.
