How the inline B200 cycle runs

We built the B200 to connect the production line, the wrapper and the conveying line into one flow. The video shows a full inline cycle on a carton load, from turntable to outfeed conveyor. A typical cycle runs like this:

  1. 进料。 The pallet rolls from the infeed conveyor onto the roller turntable. Turntable and conveyors are on one level, so the transfer is smooth.
  2. 抓住。 The pneumatic top plate lowers onto the load, when fitted.
  3. Measure and wrap. A sensor measures the packing height. The turntable turns while the film carriage runs up and down.
  4. 切。 The pneumatic film grab and cut-off system, when fitted, clamps and cuts the film.
  5. 出料。 The top plate lifts, and the turntable rollers drive the wrapped pallet onto the outfeed conveyor.

The turntable rollers are driven through a double-chain drive, which keeps the conveyor stable and safe under load.

Threading a new film roll takes about 10 s, because the film carriage door opens fully for roll changes.

When you need the pneumatic top plate

The top plate presses down on the load while the turntable turns. It matters most for these loads:

  • Light cartons. Empty or light boxes can shift as the film pulls on them at the corners.
  • Loose top layers. Cartons or bags on the top layer can slide before the film reaches them.
  • Tall, narrow stacks. A high centre of gravity makes the stack more likely to lean during rotation.

For heavy, stable loads such as full drums or block-stacked goods, the top plate is usually not needed.

Cycle time at 3–12 rpm

Turntable speed sets how fast the winds go on. An illustrative wrap pattern shows the range:

  1. Winds. Assume 15 winds in total, including the bottom and top reinforcement.
  2. At 12 rpm. 15 ÷ 12 ≈ 1.25 min of turntable time.
  3. At 3 rpm. 15 ÷ 3 = 5 min, used for unstable loads that need a slow start.
  4. 转让。 Add infeed and outfeed time on the rollers to get the full cycle.

We choose the speed with you from the load stability, then set the wrapping layers and zones in the PLC.

Film carriage and pre-stretch

The film carriage pre-stretches the film before it reaches the load:

  • Pre-stretch. Up to 200%, so 1 m from the roll becomes about 3 m on the load. Other ratios can be made to your requirements.
  • 驾驶。 A separate DC drive motor drives film delivery.
  • 点击“设置”。 Wrapping layers and zones are adjustable in the PLC.
  • Manual or automatic. The film device can run in either mode.

控制与安全

The B200 uses an OMRON PLC with a push-button interface. All speeds are motor driven, with soft start and soft stop on the turntable, and the turntable has a jog button.

On inline installations we fence the wrapping zone, so no one can reach the turning load or the carriage. The standards that apply depend on the destination market. For CE markets, ISO 12100 sets the risk-assessment method and EN 415-10 sets general requirements for packaging machines.
