Samenvatting
A coil that arrives with an uneven wrap rusts at the gaps, and a coil that arrives without its mark is hard to trace on the customer’s floor. A coil wrapper with logo tape passes printed paper or film tape through the coil eye, so every coil leaves sealed and branded in one cycle. Why coils need a logo wrap
Plain film keeps dust and water out but says nothing about the product. A printed tape repeats the brand and grade over the whole coil, so a coil cut from a bundle can still be identified. It also shows tampering: a torn printed wrap is easy to spot. Buyers of PC strand, wire and strip coils ask for it in their packing specs.
Hoe de wrapper werkt
- Laden: the coil is rolled in onto the carrier rollers; a mainframe height adjustment centres the ring on the coil.
- Wikkelen: the ring passes logo tape through the eye while the carrier rollers turn the coil.
- Overlappen: ring speed against roller speed sets the overlap, so the logo repeats evenly.
- Finish: the tape is cut and the coil is rolled out.
Manual button mode and one-key automatic running are both available, and an E-stop and error light sit on the panel.

The FPS-300 steel strip version is the same machine; sizes are adjusted to your coil, and coils outside these ranges are confirmed at quote.
Getting the logo right
- Herhalingslengte: choose a print repeat shorter than the visible tape width per turn, so each lap shows the full logo.
- Overlappen: at 50% overlap half of each lap is covered; set it so the print stays readable.
- voltage: paper tape needs lower tension than film, or it tears at the coil edge.
- Richting: print reads along the tape, so it runs around the coil section.
Tape length per coil
Tape length ≈ ring turns × perimeter of the coil section. Ring turns = π × mean diameter ÷ (tape width × (1 − overlap)). For a coil of OD 1,000 mm, ID 600 mm and width 200 mm, the mean diameter is 800 mm, the circumference is about 2,512 mm, and with 100 mm tape at 50% overlap the ring makes about 51 turns. The radial wall is (1,000 − 600) ÷ 2 = 200 mm, so the section perimeter is 2 × (width 200 + wall 200) = 800 mm, so tape use is about 51 × 0.8 = 41 m per coil (example only).

Veiligheid
We design coil wrappers to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment. The ring is fenced, and the E-stop and error light warn the operator.

Q: Will paper tape tear? A: Not at the right tension; it is set lower than for film.
Q: What coil weight can be rolled in by hand? A: Light coils only; heavier coils use a loading trolley.
Q: Can weighing and labels be added? A: Yes, a weighing station and label printer can be added after the wrapper.
