Why wire coils need a wrap
A steel or copper wire coil that leaves the line bare collects dust and moisture, and the exposed edges can be damaged in handling and transport. A protective band around the coil keeps the surface clean and holds the turns in place, so the coil arrives at the next step ready to use.
Hand banding a heavy wire coil is uneven and slow, and the wrap varies from coil to coil. A machine that turns the coil while a wrapping arm applies the band gives every coil the same even coverage. The wrap standard and band width are confirmed per project.

Place the coil at centre, then run the cycle from the panel and the machine rotates the coil and applies the band automatically. Keep clear of the wrapping arm, coil path and band feed while the machine runs, with guarding and emergency stops at the operator position. The safety fence keeps the moving arm out of reach.
Routine checks cover the coil drive, wrapping arm, guide rollers, sensors and control, per the machine manual. Confirm the band settings against the coil before each run so coverage stays even.
