Why wrap coils horizontally
Metal coils of strip, cable and wire are easy to scuff and rust when they move between processes. A tight band keeps the surface clean, holds the coil together, and slows corrosion during storage and transport.
Wrapping by arm is more even and repeatable than by hand, and the machine keeps running while the operator handles the next coil. Coil finish and band grade are confirmed per project.

The machine is a horizontal wrapper that holds a metal coil flat on a rotating platform. A wrapping arm travels in a ring around the coil, and a band from a side reel pays off over the coil as it turns.

How it works: platform and wrapping arm
The rotating platform holds the coil flat and turns it during the wrap, while the wrapping arm orbits around the coil on a horizontal plane. The band reel sits beside the machine and pays off the band as the arm moves.
A control panel at the front carries the touchscreen and buttons that start the cycle and set the wrap count. A metal mesh guard surrounds the wrap zone during the run. Arm reach and band path are confirmed per project.

Close the guard before starting and keep clear of the rotating arm during the wrap. Stop the machine before opening the guard or adjusting the band path.
Routine checks cover the band reel, the wrapping arm and the platform bearings, per the machine manual. Confirm the coil is seated before each cycle starts.
