- **Full cover.** Each turn of the ring goes through the eye, so the film covers the whole coil section, not just the outside.
- **Rust and dust.** A closed film layer keeps moisture and dust off drawn wire in storage and transport.
- **Coil stays flat.** The coil is supported on rollers, so there is no upending step before or after wrapping.
- **Steady coil.** Side protective rollers hold the coil in place while the ring turns.

**Worked example (illustrative).** With 120 mm wide film at 50% overlap, each turn of the ring advances the film by 120 × 0.5 = 60 mm along the coil circumference. A coil whose mean circumference is 2,200 mm then needs about 2,200 ÷ 60 ≈ 37 ring turns for one full layer.

The ring turns through the coil eye and the coil moves on powered rollers. We fit guardrails, soft start and stop, and a separate electrical box, and guard the ring zone to the risk assessment. For CE markets we apply ISO 12100:2010 for the risk assessment and [EN 415-10:2014](https://www.nen.nl/en/nen-en-415-10-2014-en-191845) for general packaging-machine requirements.
