Our automatic pipe coiler and hose coiling machine lays every turn beside the last with a moving guide, so each coil comes off tight, even and the same size as the one before.

What makes a good coil
Three things decide coil quality. Each turn lies next to the last with no gap and no overlap. The tension is the same from the first metre to the last. The inside and outside diameters repeat from coil to coil. A coil built this way can be strapped or wrapped without shifting, stacks flat on a pallet and unrolls without kinks.
Coiling sequence
1. The hose end is clamped on the reel.
2. The reel turns and pulls the hose through the guide rollers.
3. The guide arm moves one hose diameter across the reel for each turn.
4. At the reel flange the guide reverses and starts the next layer.
5. At the set length the hose is cut.
6. The coil is held, strapped and moved to the out-feed.

Lay pitch and traverse
**Traverse per reel turn = hose OD**
**Turns per layer ≈ coil width ÷ hose OD**
Example only: 25 mm hose on a 200 mm wide coil gives 200 ÷ 25 = 8 turns per layer. If the guide moves less than one diameter per turn the hose climbs onto itself; if it moves more, gaps open and the next layer drops into them. That is why the traverse is linked to the reel speed, not run on its own timer.
Output formula
**Coil time ≈ coil length ÷ coiling speed**
Example only: a 50 m coil at 20 m/min takes 2.5 min; at 60 m/min it takes under 1 min. With two stations, one coil is strapped and unloaded while the other is wound.
Tension and hose type
Soft PVC garden hose stretches if it is pulled hard, so it is wound at low tension. Reinforced and corrugated hose is stiffer and needs more tension to stay tight on the reel. The reel drive is set per hose type so the coil is firm without changing the hose length.

安全
We design to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment. The reel and guide are guarded and carry warning labels, and an emergency stop is at the operator side.
