Mobiilne kaubaaluste inverter

Kokkuvõte Our mobile pallet inverter is a battery-driven truck that drives to the load, clamps it between its forks and tilts it, with no fixed station. It lifts loads up to 1,500 kg and tilts them back from upright to lying flat, or turns them over to change the pallet. A 24 V, 180 Ah battery runs it for about 6 hours per charge. Below we cover specifications, a battery and aisle check, and safe tilting.

Sisukord

Miks mobiilne inverter statsionaarse asemel?

A fixed pallet inverter needs its own floor space, and every load must be carried to it by forklift. In a crowded warehouse, or where loads need turning in several places, that means extra forklift trips. A mobile inverter brings the function to the load.

Ours combines a pallet truck and an inverter. It drives to the load, lifts it, clamps it and tilts or turns it on the spot. It can then carry the load to the next workstation. It runs on its own battery, so it needs no power point at each place it works.

Tilting a load from upright to flat

The lower forks go under the pallet and the upper forks come down on top of the load. One button closes the forks and clamps the load. Hydraulic cylinders then tilt the mast and the clamped load back in one smooth movement, from upright to lying flat.

Laying a tall load down is useful for long items stood on end, and for loads that must pass under a low door or into a low vehicle. Lying flat, the load can also be unpacked or worked on at a comfortable height.

For a pallet change we use a two-stage sequence. The hydraulic cylinders first tilt the clamped load 90°, from upright to flat. The operator then turns it through 180° by hand, which reverses the pallets, and the load returns smoothly to upright. The fork clamp keeps a steady pressure on loose items such as sacks so they do not fall during the turn.

For loads up to 1,000 kg we also build a lighter mobile changer. Its 280 Ah battery is built from twelve 2 V cells, the lead-acid format. Lead-acid batteries last longest when they are recharged before they run flat.

Worked example: battery shift and aisle check

Take a warehouse running one 8-hour shift, with the inverter working 60% of the time. These are illustrative customer figures.

Battery energy. 24 V × 180 Ah = 4,320 Wh, about 4.3 kWh per charge.

Run time needed. 8 h × 0.6 = 4.8 h of working time per shift. The battery gives about 6 hours per charge, so one charge covers the shift. Charge it overnight in the 5-hour charging window.

Two shifts. At the same duty, two shifts need 9.6 h, more than one charge. Plan a charge between shifts, or ask us for a spare battery.

Aisle check. The truck is 2,250 mm long and turns on a 1,250 mm radius. Turning space depends on the chassis length, the turning radius, the load length beyond the forks and a safety clearance on each side. Add these up for your largest load and compare the total with your aisle width.

Which loads can be tilted or inverted

Reversible loads suit it best: paper, cement and flour sacks, cartons, drums and boxed goods. Stretch-wrapped pallets tilt well because the film holds the cartons together. Loose or unstable loads should be wrapped or banded before tilting. Liquids in open containers, and loads that must stay upright, should not be tilted.

Valiku kontroll-leht: mida meile saata

  1. Load weight, footprint and height.
  2. Pallet types: the one under the load and the new one.
  3. Whether you need to tilt, invert or both.
  4. Loads per shift and number of shifts.
  5. Aisle widths and floor condition.
  6. Where the battery will be charged.

Ohutus ja EN 415-10

We design the inverter to EN 415-10 for packaging machines and assess risks to ISO 12100. The clamping forks, the tilting mast and the moving truck are the main hazards. Because the truck works in open floor areas, keep people clear of the tilt zone behind the load. A red mushroom-head emergency stop sits on the handle, and an emergency battery disconnect cuts all power. A low-profile control layout lets the operator stand clear while tilting.

Inseneri KKK

Q: Does it need a forklift to load it? A: No. It drives to the load and picks it up with its own forks.

Q: How long does one charge last? A: About 6 hours of work, with 5 hours to recharge.

Q: Can it change the pallet as well as tilt? A: Yes. It tilts the clamped load 90°, the operator turns it 180°, and the load returns upright on the new pallet.

K: Millised ohutusstandardid kehtivad? V: ISO 12100 riskihindamise ja EN 415-10 masina kohta CE-märgisega turgudel.
