> Small coil packaging means wrapping cable, wire and tube coils from a few kilograms to several hundred kilograms, quickly and the same way every time. Our compact coil wrappers turn the coil on drive wheels while a ring passes film through the eye, so a coil is sealed in 18–38 s depending on model. This page explains the technology, how to pick a model, how to set overlap and how much film a coil uses.

Cómo funciona el enrollado de bobinas a través del ojo
1. **Load:** the operator places the tied coil on the table, around the opening in the ring.
2. **Clamp:** guide rollers centre the coil and a press rod holds it from above.
3. **Wrap:** the ring carries the film roll through the eye, while the drive wheels turn the coil, so each wrap lands just ahead of the last.
4. **Finish:** after one full coil turn the film is cut, the clamp opens and the coil is unloaded.
The two speeds, ring and coil, set the overlap. Inverters let you change either from the panel. Film tension is set on the ring: on our cable coil wrapper quotation it is a 2.5 kg·m magnetic powder tension controller, so light or soft coils can be wrapped without crushing them. Press-rod force and automatic cut-and-clamp options are confirmed at quote.

Pick the model whose ID minimum is below your smallest coil eye: the ring must pass through the eye.
Overlap and wrap count
**Wraps per coil = π × coil OD ÷ (film width × (1 − overlap)).** For a 400 mm OD coil and 60 mm film at 50% overlap, each wrap advances 30 mm at the outside, so π × 400 ≈ 1,257 mm needs 1,257 ÷ 30 ≈ 42 wraps (example only). At 120 r/min that is 42 ÷ 120 × 60 ≈ 21 s, inside the 20–30 s FPCA-200 cycle.
Uso de película por bobina
**Film per wrap ≈ perimeter of the coil cross-section = 2 × (width + (OD − ID) ÷ 2).** A coil 100 mm wide with 400 mm OD and 200 mm ID needs 2 × (100 + 100) = 400 mm per wrap. Over 42 wraps that is 42 × 0.4 ≈ 16.8 m of film per coil before stretch (example only). Multiply by coils per shift to size film stock and compare film, PVC and paper costs.
Mejores prácticas
- Tie or strap the coil before wrapping, so turns do not shift under the press rod.
- Set overlap for the outside of the coil; the eye gets more layers anyway.
- Use PVC or paper where the coil must breathe, and stretch film where it must stay sealed.
- Keep the drive wheels clean; film residue makes the coil slip and leaves gaps.

Seguridad
The machine is designed to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment. The rotating ring, drive wheels and press rod are the main hazards. Keep hands clear during the cycle, start it only from the pedal or button, and keep the emergency stop in reach.
