> A hose coil wrapping and strapping machine covers each coil of hydraulic or rubber hose in film so it reaches the user clean and tightly held. Our horizontal hose coil wrapper FPCA-300 wraps the coil while it lies on the conveyor, through its eye, and tapes the film tail down. It takes coils of 600–1,200 mm OD and up to 100 kg. A worked example shows how many ring turns a coil needs and how long they take.

¿Por qué enrollar las mangueras?
Hydraulic and rubber hose is shipped in coils, and a loose coil springs open, picks up dirt and gets its cover scuffed. Film wrapped through the eye and round the coil holds every turn in place. It also keeps dust and water off the hose and gives a clean pack for the shelf. Done by hand, eye wrapping is slow and uneven, so we do it on the line.
Cómo funciona el enrollador de bobinas
The coil rolls into the wrapping station on a powered roller conveyor and stops lying flat. A yellow support frame and pressing arm come down to hold it in place. The wrapping ring runs through the coil's eye, and a film carriage on the ring winds film over the coil section. The coil turns slowly on the rollers so the film covers its full circle.
When the wrap is done, the film is cut and a device on the machine tapes the tail, so no one has to finish it by hand. The wrapped coil then rolls out. The conveyor in the station lets the wrapper link directly to an automatic coiler and downender. A yellow mesh guard closes off the wrapping area.
FPCA-300 wrapper data
| Artículo | Valor |
| :--- | :--- |
| Diámetro interior de la bobina | 300–1,000 mm |
| Diámetro exterior de la bobina | 600–1,200 mm |
Ancho de la bobina: 150–300 mm
| Peso de la bobina | 10–100 kg |
| Tiempo de enrollado | 25–35 s por bobina |
| Ring speed | up to 100 r/min |
| Stretch film | 50–90 mm wide, 50 mm core, 100–140 mm roll OD |
| Paper, HDPE or woven | 90 mm wide, up to 450 mm roll OD |
| Power | 380 V, 3 phase; 3.5 kW |
Worked example: ring turns per coil
Illustrative coil: 800 mm OD, 500 mm ID and 200 mm wide. The film is 90 mm wide, set to 50% overlap at the outside edge, and the ring runs at 100 r/min. Each ring turn moves the film forward by W × (1 − overlap) at the OD.
| Comprobar | Cálculo | Resultado |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Film advance per turn at OD | 90 × (1 − 0.5) | 45 mm |
| Ring turns for one full circle | π × 800 ÷ 45 | ≈ 56 turns |
| Wrapping time | 56 ÷ 100 × 60 | ≈ 34 s |
| Advance at the ID | 45 × 500 ÷ 800 | ≈ 28 mm |
| Overlap at the ID | 1 − 28 ÷ 90 | ≈ 69% |
| Film path per turn | 2 × (150 + 200) | 700 mm |
| Film laid, before stretch | 56 × 0.7 | ≈ 39 m |
**Result.** About 56 turns cover the coil in roughly 34 s, inside the 25–35 s range. Because the ID is smaller, the film overlaps more on the inside, about 69% here, so the inside of the coil gets the thicker cover. For a faster cycle, use a lower overlap or wider film; for a heavier pack, raise it.
Optional coiling and strapping
The wrapper works on its own or inline. On a full hose line, the hose is first wound into a coil and strapped, then wrapped. Our hose coiling and strapping machine has two coiling stations, so one coil can be strapped and unloaded while the next one winds.
It coils at 1–60 m/min, for coils of 500–800 mm OD and 5–35 kg. It straps with 12–13 mm wide strap, 0.6–0.75 mm thick. The strapped coil then goes on to the wrapper.
Lista de verificación de selección
1. Coil ID, OD, width and weight.
2. Film, paper or woven cover.
3. Bobinas por hora.
4. Strapping before the wrap, yes or no.
5. Link to a coiler, downender or stacker.
Seguridad: EN 415-10 e ISO 12100
We design the wrapper to EN 415-10 and assess its risks to ISO 12100. The main hazards are the turning ring, the pressing arm and the powered rollers. The wrapping area is closed by a mesh guard, and opening its door stops the machine.
Preguntas frecuentes sobre ingeniería
Q: Does the coil have to be lifted?
A: No. It is wrapped lying on the conveyor.
Q: What sizes fit?
A: 600–1,200 mm OD, 150–300 mm wide and up to 100 kg.
Q: How is the film tail cut and secured?
A: The machine cuts the film and tapes the tail down automatically.
P: ¿Qué norma se aplica?
A: Norma EN 415-10 para la máquina e ISO 12100 para la evaluación de riesgos.
