Come una macchina avvolgitrice orizzontale automatica avvolge scatole di piccole dimensioni da 300 mm

Sintesi A horizontal orbital stretch wrapper passes a film ring around the product while a conveyor carries it through, so a small box gets a full 360° film wrap without being turned. Our E300 is specified for packages from 100 to 300 mm OD, with a ring speed of 20 to 90 r/min and adjustable overlap from 10% to 90%. For short single boxes we configure the conveyors and feed per project.

Sommario

How a horizontal orbital wrapper handles a small box

The box rides on the infeed conveyor into the ring. The ring carries the film roll around the box while the box keeps moving, so the film lays on as a spiral. The overlap between turns comes from two speeds: how fast the ring turns and how fast the conveyor feeds. A photocell sets the wrap start and end, and the outfeed conveyor takes the wrapped box away.

Because the box does not turn over, printed faces and labels stay where you put them, and every face gets film as the ring covers the full 360° around it. That is the main reason to choose a horizontal wrapper over a pallet wrapper for single cartons. Our macchina avvolgitrice orbitale orizzontale runs on the same ring principle.

Which E-series size fits a 300 mm box

The ring has to clear the box’s cross-section, not its length. For a square or rectangular box, the figure to check is the diagonal of the end face, because that is the widest part the ring passes. Our E-series covers this in steps:

Modello Package OD on the product page
E100 50 a 100 mm
E200 50 a 200 mm
E300 100 a 300 mm

A box called “300 mm” is often 300 mm long with a much smaller end face. If the end-face diagonal is 300 mm or less, the E300 ring is the starting point; if it is larger, we size the ring per project.

Specifiche E300

These are the values for our E300; the final configuration is set per project.

Articolo E300
Pacchetto OD 100 a 300 mm
Package length (standard) oltre 1,000 mm
Peso del pacchetto 15 a 100 kg
Velocità dell'anello 20 to 90 r/min, inverter controlled
Velocità di avvolgimento da 5 a 15 m/min
Velocità del trasportatore da 6 a 12 m/min
Infeed and outfeed conveyor 2,000 mm ciascuno, azionato da motore
sovrapposizione regolabile, dal 10% al 90%
Film polyethylene, roll OD 100 to 200 mm, width 100 to 200 mm, core ID 50 mm
Potenza about 2.5 kW, 380 V 3-phase 60 Hz

The E300 also has soft start, wrapping position reset, adjustable film tension, a guardrail, PLC control with fault alarms, and an option for an automatic cutter and film feeder for unmanned running.

Worked example: feed speed and time per box

step Valore
Box end face (illustrative) 200 × 150 mm
End-face diagonal, √(200² + 150²) 250 mm, inside the E300 range
Larghezza della pellicola (a titolo esemplificativo) 150 mm
Overlap set 50%
Advance per ring turn, 150 × (1 − 0.5) 75 mm
Ring speed (illustrative) 80 giri / min
Feed speed, 75 × 80 6,000 mm/min = 6 m/min
Lunghezza della scatola (a titolo esemplificativo) 300 mm
Time to pass the ring, 300 ÷ 6,000 0.05 minuto = 3 secondi

A 6 m/min feed sits inside the 5 to 15 m/min wrapping speed. The 3 s is the ring pass only; add the gap between boxes and the film start and cut for the real cycle.

More overlap gives a tighter, better-sealed wrap but slows the feed. At 75% overlap each turn advances 37.5 mm. Even at the top ring speed of 90 r/min, the feed is then about 3.4 m/min, below the 5 to 15 m/min wrapping speed. For that much overlap, use wider film or ask us to set the conveyor drive for your project.

Short boxes versus long bundles

The standard E300 is laid out for packages over 1,000 mm long, such as profiles, boards and pipe bundles. A single 300 mm box is shorter than the ring-to-conveyor spacing, so it has to be supported and pushed through the ring without tipping. For small boxes we set the conveyor type and length per project, and the automatic cutter and feeder option lets the machine start and end each wrap without an operator.

If your boxes arrive in a steady stream, tell us the gap between them; it decides whether each box gets its own wrap or a short run of boxes is wrapped together.

Lista di controllo per la selezione: cosa inviarci

  • Box length, width and height, and the heaviest box.
  • Boxes per hour, and whether they arrive singly or in a stream.
  • Film type and width you use now.
  • Whether you need the automatic cutter and feeder.
  • Conveyor height and the line before and after the wrapper.
  • Site voltage and phase.

Sicurezza e norma EN 415-10

The standards that apply depend on the destination market. For CE markets, ISO 12100 sets the risk-assessment method and EN 415-10 sets the general safety requirements for packaging machines, including rotating rings and conveyor in-running points. Our E300 has a guardrail around the wrapping station and fault alarms on the PLC.

For each installation, the site risk assessment should decide the guarding around the ring and conveyor ends. Operators should keep hands clear of the ring while it turns and stop the machine before changing film or clearing a jam.

FAQ di ingegneria

Q: What size of box can the E300 wrap? A: Packages from 100 to 300 mm OD; for a box, check the diagonal of its end face against that range.

Q: Can it wrap boxes shorter than 1,000 mm? A: The standard layout is for packages over 1,000 mm; short boxes need a conveyor and feed set per project, so send us your box length.

Q: How is the overlap set? A: On the PLC, from 10% to 90%; the feed speed and ring speed together decide the actual overlap.

Q: What film does it use? A: Polyethylene film on a 50 mm core, 100 to 200 mm wide.

Q: Which safety standards apply? A: For CE markets, ISO 12100 for the risk assessment and EN 415-10 for packaging machines.
