Why arm wrapping
Large coils are heavy to rotate into a wrapper and awkward to hand-wrap. An overhead arm that travels to the coil brings the film to the coil instead of the coil to the wrapper, so the coil stays on its support.
Because the wrap is applied in one continuous pass around the coil, the film lies evenly over the face. Coil size and wrap pattern are confirmed per project.

How the arm wrapping works
The arm is carried on a moving base beside the wrapping area. An arc-shaped arm reaches over the coil, and a clamp with rollers holds the film against the top of the coil as it pays out.
The coil turns on its support while the arm lays the film around the face, and the arm withdraws when the wrap pattern is complete. The arm and the coil supports are arranged to suit the coil range per project.
Cycle time and control
With the coil on the conveyor, the arm travels to the coil and the clamp covers the top, then the coil rotates while the film is applied around the face. When the pattern is complete the arm lifts and moves clear, and the wrapped coil is ready on the conveyor.
A control panel on the wall of the cell carries the buttons and indicator lights for the cycle, arranged per project. Wrap speed and pattern are confirmed per project.

Operasi dan keamanan
Set the coil on the conveyor and start the wrap from the control panel, keeping clear of the arm path and the rotating coil. Keep hands away from the film and the clamp while the cycle runs, and let the arm lift clear before the coil is collected.
Routine checks cover the film feed, the clamp and the guardrail, per the machine manual. Confirm the film is loaded before each cycle.
