> Our horizontal stretch wrapping machine with a bubble film dispenser cushions and wraps a product in one pass. A covering unit above the conveyor draws a sheet of bubble film over the product. The orbital ring then spirals stretch film round it, holding the bubble film tight against every face. It suits wooden cases, foam board and furniture panels, and a worked example sizes the bubble sheet and sets the overlap.

Why add bubble film to a stretch wrap
Stretch film holds a product together and keeps dust off, but it is thin. It does little against knocks, corner dents or rubbing in the truck. Painted panels, lacquered furniture and finished wooden cases need a cushion as well.
Wrapping bubble film by hand first doubles the work and leaves loose sheets that shift. Our covering unit lays the bubble film automatically, and the stretch film locks it in place in the same pass. The pack comes out cushioned and sealed, with the bubble film held flat.
How the bubble film dispenser works with the ring
1. **Infeed.** The product rides the infeed conveyor towards the ring. A sensor detects it and starts the cycle.
2. **Covering.** The bubble film unit above the conveyor draws film from its roll and lays a sheet over the product. The sheet is cut to the length set for the product; we confirm the cutting method for your film when we quote.
3. **Wrapping.** The orbital ring turns round the product as the conveyor carries it through. Stretch film spirals over the bubble film at the overlap set on the screen. Extra reinforcing wraps at the head and the end of the product, set on the touch screen, anchor the loose sheet ends.
4. **Cut and clamp.** The mechanical hand cuts the stretch film, by heat or knife, and clamps it ready for the next product.
5. **Outfeed.** The wrapped product leaves on the outfeed conveyor.
Ring speed and conveyor speed are set on the touch screen, so overlap stays the same along the product.
Holding the product and the sheet in place
A light product and a loose bubble sheet can both move as the ring starts. Press-down devices on the infeed and outfeed conveyors hold the product down during wrapping. Side guides, adjusted by hand, stop it shaking. The top press has a soft face, so it does not mark glass or lacquered surfaces. Its action time is set in the program to suit each product.
Base machine specifications
We build the bubble film unit onto our E-series horizontal stretch wrappers. The E1000 is a common base:
| Item | E1000 |
| :--- | :--- |
| Longitud del producto | más de 1,000 mm |
| Bundle OD | 400–1,000 mm |
| Product weight | 50–400 kg |
| Cinta transportadora de entrada | 2,000 mm de largo × 1,200 mm de ancho |
| Outfeed conveyor | 2,000 mm long × 800 mm wide |
| Velocidad de la cinta transportadora | 3–12 m/min |
| Velocidad del anillo | aproximadamente 10–60 r/min |
| Superposición | 10%–90% |
| Stretch film | 100–500 mm wide, roll OD 100–250 mm, ID 50 mm |
| Air supply | 5–8 kgf/cm² |
| Dimensiones de la máquina | aproximadamente 4,800 × 1,800 × 2,000 mm |
| Power | about 4.5 kW, AC 380 V, 50 Hz, 3 phase |
The bubble film roll width and covering length are set to your product range.
Worked example: bubble sheet size and film overlap
Take a wooden case 1,200 mm long, 600 mm wide and 400 mm high. These are illustrative customer figures.
**Fit check.** The section diagonal is √(600² + 400²) = 721 mm, inside the 1,000 mm limit.
**Bubble sheet.** To cover the top and run down both sides, the sheet must be at least 600 + 2 × 400 = 1,400 mm wide. Its length is the case length, 1,200 mm, plus any end allowance you need.
**Overlap.** With 500 mm stretch film and 50% overlap, each ring turn advances 250 mm. At a ring speed of 40 r/min, the conveyor runs at 250 × 40 = 10,000 mm/min, or 10 m/min. That is inside the 3–12 m/min conveyor range.
**Time and film.** The 1,200 mm case passes in 1.2 ÷ 10 = 0.12 min, about 7 s of wrapping. That is 1,200 ÷ 250 = 4.8, so about 5 turns. Each turn covers a perimeter of 2 × (600 + 400) = 2,000 mm, so about 10 m of stretch film goes on the case. That is the applied length for the travelling wrap only. Head and end reinforcing wraps add to it, and film tension reduces what comes off the roll. An optional motor tension controller holds tension steady for tight packs.

6. Power and compressed air at site.
Seguridad y EN 415-10
We design the wrapper to EN 415-10 for packaging machines and assess risks to ISO 12100. The turning ring, the press devices and the cutter are the main hazards. A protection shield covers the moving ring parts, and mesh fencing encloses the wrapping area. Operators load and unload at the conveyor ends, away from the moving parts.
Preguntas frecuentes sobre ingeniería
Q: Can the machine run without bubble film?
A: Yes. The covering unit can be left idle for products that only need stretch film.
Q: Does the stretch film crush the bubble film?
A: Film tension is adjustable, so we set it to hold the sheet without flattening the bubbles.
Q: Can it wrap paper or woven tape as well?
A: Yes. The E1000 takes LLDPE stretch film, paper or woven material.
P: ¿Qué normas de seguridad se aplican?
A: ISO 12100 para la evaluación de riesgos y EN 415-10 para la máquina, en mercados CE.
