Why wrap profiles horizontally

Long aluminum profiles are easy to mark and scratch while they are handled, stored or loaded for transport. A protective film keeps the surface clean from the moment the profile leaves the line until it reaches the next process.

Because the profile is wrapped while it travels horizontally, the film follows the full length in one pass. Wrapping long profiles by hand takes time and leaves the film uneven, and the machine keeps the wrap consistent. Profile finish and film are confirmed per project.

Makine ne yapar?

The machine is a horizontal wrapping unit laid out in a line. Long profiles are carried on the infeed conveyor, and each profile passes through the wrapping head while transparent film is drawn from above and wrapped around the surface.

At the discharge end the film is closed and separated, and the wrapped profile leaves the line ready for collection. An optional spacer feeder can place spacers between the wrapped profiles when the pack requires them. Profile length and film width are confirmed per project.

Conveyor, film feed and sealing

The line starts with a long conveyor that carries the profiles lengthwise. The profiles rest on support cradles along the conveyor so the profile stays level through the machine, and the wrapping head sits above the pass with the film roll and guide rollers.

A transparent guard above the feed holds the film over the profile while it travels, and a sealing and cutting unit closes the wrap at the discharge end. The control box near the line start carries the running lamps for the cycle. Conveyor length and feed section are confirmed per project.

The cycle runs continuously. A profile is carried in on the conveyor, the film is drawn from above as the profile enters the wrapping head, and the wrap travels along the full length while the profile passes. The sealing unit closes the film at the end, and the wrapped profile is carried out.

The cycle runs while the machine is started at the control box, and the running state is shown by the lamps on the box. Cycle start and the control layout are confirmed per project.

Çalıştırma ve güvenlik

Lay each profile on the conveyor, start the line, and let the conveyor carry the profile through the wrapping head. Keep clear of the feed area, the moving film and the sealing unit while the machine is running, and do not reach over the guard during the pass.

Routine checks cover the conveyor, the film feed and the sealing unit, per the machine manual. Confirm the profile is seated before each pass.
