Rezumat

Our online pallet inverter sits in a conveyor line and changes the pallet under each load without a forklift touching it. The load rides in on the chain conveyor, the frame clamps and tilts it, the old pallet comes out and a new one goes in. One unit handles about 30 pallets an hour with loads up to 1,500 kg, and the online exchanger version takes up to 2 t. Below are the cycle, the data, the main applications and how to size a line with one or two units.

Two yellow inverter units stand side by side, each fed by its own conveyor and closed by mesh fences. A load of white bagged goods is clamped between the plates and tilted back while the frame turns. Red counter displays and signal lamps sit on top of each unit, and a red and white barrier keeps forklifts off the line.

How the online cycle runs

  1. Alimentare. The chain conveyor carries the loaded pallet into the frame at up to 16 m/min.
  2. Clemă. The plates close on the load so it cannot slip during the turn.
  3. Întoarce-te. The frame tilts or turns the load; the rotary type turns it a full 180°.
  4. Schimbare. The old pallet is taken away and the new pallet is placed against the load.
  5. Întoarcere. The frame turns back, the load now stands on the new pallet, and the clamps open.
  6. Evacuare. The conveyor carries the load on to the next station.

Because the load stays on the conveyor line, the inverter can sit between a palletizer, a wrapper and the warehouse transfer.

Sizing the line: one unit or two?

Take a line that must change 50 pallets an hour. Each pallet is 1,200 mm long, and the conveyor runs at 16 m/min. These are illustrative customer figures.

Rezultat. One unit gives 30 pallets an hour, so a 50-pallet line needs two units in parallel, which gives 60 an hour with spare. Even clearing a full 2.4 m bed takes only about 9 s, so the turn and pallet change set the rate, not the conveyor. Infeed and outfeed are handed over by sensors and the line PLC.

Old and new pallet handling

The inverter only swaps the pallet; the line around it decides how much handling is left to people. A new pallet can be placed by hand, or fed from a pallet magazine. Old pallets can be stacked by hand or by a pallet stacker.

Our high-speed automatic pallet changing line combines these around a 7,000 mm long pallet changer. It adds heavy roller conveyors, a pallet de-stacker that dispenses new pallets, a pallet stacker for the old ones and a height detection device.

Siguranţă

We design to EN ISO 12100:2010, EN 415-10 for the packaging line and EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment. The turning frame, the clamps and the conveyor are the hazards. Mesh fences close the unit, the barrier keeps forklifts out of the line, and access gates are interlocked. Guarding and CE documents are agreed per project.
