Kokkuvõte

High speed tyre shrink packing groups tyres into small stacks, covers each stack with PE film, seals it, and runs it through a hot-air tunnel so the film pulls tight around the tyres. The result is a dust-proof, labelled pack that stacks and ships without loose film. Our equivalent solution is built for passenger and light truck tyres. This page covers grouping, film sizing, tunnel temperature and dwell time, cooling, and the data we need for a quotation.

This line packs stacks of two or three tyres laid flat on a belt conveyor. Film unwinds from stands at the infeed and covers each stack, and guide rails and pressing rollers lead the film down around the tyres before sealing.

A hot-air shrink tunnel follows the sealer, and the whole line sits inside a metal frame with clear panels and perforated mesh guarding. The heat controller runs in the 220–225 °C range here, and emergency stops sit on the control panels.

Why shrink pack tyres

Loose tyres collect dust and marks in the warehouse, and single tyres take time to count and load. A shrink pack holds a fixed number of tyres together, keeps tread and sidewall clean, and gives a flat face for a label. Compared with ring wrapping each tyre, shrink packing works on a stack, so one cycle packs two or three tyres at once. That is where the speed comes from.

The process step by step

  1. Tyres are laid flat and grouped into stacks on the infeed belt.
  2. The film unrolls and covers the stack from above and below.
  3. A seal bar seals the film around the stack and cuts it from the next pack.
  4. The pack runs through the hot-air tunnel and the film shrinks tight.
  5. The pack cools on the outfeed and moves to labelling or palletizing.

Grouping and stack height

The number of tyres per pack sets the stack height. Stack height = tyres per pack × tyre section width. Two to three tyres per pack is common for passenger tyres. Taller stacks need more film and longer time in the tunnel, and they lean more on the conveyor. Keep the stack straight before sealing: a guide or centering station at the infeed squares the tyres so the seal runs straight.

Kile suuruse määramine

Two pack styles are used on tyre stacks, and they size the film differently:

Paki stiil Film Suuruse reegel
Sleeve (bull’s-eye) top and bottom rolls form a curtain around the stack roll width ≥ OD + 2 × side overhang; cut length ≈ 2 × (OD + stack height)
Full enclosure (L-seal) one centre-folded roll closes on all sides flat film width ≥ OD + stack height + two seal margins

A sleeve leaves round openings on two sides, which saves film and lets air out in the tunnel. A full enclosure seals the stack completely against dust and water. Take three 205 mm tyres with a 650 mm OD (example):

Vaata Arvutus Tulemus
Virna kõrgus 3 × 205 615 mm
Sleeve cut length, before seal 2 × (650 + 615) 2,530 mm
L-seal film width, before margins 650 + 615 1,265 mm
L-seal film width with 50 mm margins 1,265 + 2 × 50 1,365 mm

Film thickness and shrink ratio depend on the stack weight and the transport. The film grade, thickness and roll size for your tyre range are confirmed at quote.

Tunnel temperature and dwell time

Dwell time = tunnel length ÷ conveyor speed. The film needs enough heat and enough time to shrink evenly. Too little and the corners stay loose, too much and the film thins and tears over the tread. Set temperature and speed together: raise the speed, and the temperature has to come up too.

Sümptom Tõenäoline põhjus Määrama
Loose film at corners dwell too short slow the conveyor
Holes over the tread too hot or dwell too long madalam temperatuur
Uneven shrink, one side tight air flow uneven check fans and nozzles
Seal opens in the tunnel seal bar too cold raise seal temperature

The tunnel length, heating power and conveyor speed for your packs per hour are confirmed at quote.

Cooling and outfeed

A pack leaving the tunnel is still soft. Fans at the tunnel exit, or along an extended outfeed conveyor, cool the film so it sets tight before the pack is handled or labelled. A roller table after the tunnel keeps packs from dropping as they leave the chain conveyor.

Valiku kontroll-leht

These are the questions we ask before quoting a tyre packing line:

  1. Products to pack: tyres, rims or tubes.
  2. Rehvi välisläbimõõt, siseläbimõõt, ristlõike laius ja kaal.
  3. Tyres per pack.
  4. Packs or tyres per hour.
  5. Labelling, and stacking or palletizing after packing.
  6. Power supply and floor space.

ohutus

The machine is designed to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 (safety of packaging machines, general requirements) and EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment. The hot seal bar and the tunnel are the main hazards. The line is enclosed by a frame with clear panels and mesh, and emergency stops sit on the control panels. Guarding and CE documents are agreed per project.

Inseneri KKK

Q: How many tyres go in one shrink pack? A: Usually two or three passenger tyres. More tyres need wider film and a longer tunnel dwell.

Q: How wide must the film be? A: For a full L-seal enclosure, tyre OD plus stack height plus two seal margins: about 1,365 mm for three 205 mm tyres with a 650 mm OD. A sleeve uses less, OD plus two side overhangs.

Q: Why do the corners stay loose? A: The dwell time is too short. Slow the conveyor or raise the tunnel temperature.

Q: Shrink packing or ring wrapping? A: Shrink packing packs a stack per cycle and gives a flat label face. Ring wrapping covers each tyre singly.

Q: Do packs need cooling? A: Yes. Fans at the tunnel exit set the film before the pack is handled.
