Kokkuvõte
An automatic box taping machine (a box tape wrapping machine) puts 2 or 4 perimeter adhesive tape bands around each carton at about 2 seconds per lap. It replaces hand taping or hand strapping at the end of the packing line, gives the same band tension and position on every box, and frees the operator for loading and palletizing. We build this machine as a compact unit with telescopic roller conveyors at both ends. This page explains what changes in your process, how to work out the time saved, and when the machine pays back.
The machine is a white cabinet with a roller table on top and a vertical column that carries the tape head over the carton. A brown carton sits on the rollers, and yellow tape bands run up its sides and over the top.
Flexible telescopic roller conveyors with blue rollers lead in and out, so cartons can come straight from packing and go on to the pallet. The compact frame fits at the end of an existing packing table.

What changes in your packing area
Hand taping a band around a carton means lifting or turning the box, pulling tape, cutting and pressing it down, then doing it again for the second band. With the machine, the operator only pushes the carton onto the infeed conveyor:

The biggest gain is often ergonomic: no more turning heavy cartons by hand, all shift long.
Same band on every box
A machine lays each band at the same position and the same tension. That matters when cartons are stacked on a pallet: bands in the same place make neat columns, and even tension keeps the top flaps closed without crushing the corners. Uneven hand bands either slip off the box edge or cut into soft cartons.

Tape bands suit cartons up to medium weight. Very heavy cartons and bundles still need strap; the weight limit for your carton and tape is confirmed at quote with sample tests.
Working out the time saved
Operator hours saved per day = cartons per day × (manual time per carton − loading time per carton) ÷ 3,600. Take 1,500 cartons a day, 20 s to hand tape two bands and 5 s to load a carton onto the machine (example):

Time your own hand taping for a few cartons before you use this. It is the number that decides the result.
Payback formula
Payback in months = machine cost ÷ (monthly labour saved − monthly tape cost difference). Monthly labour saved = hours saved per day × working days × hourly labour cost. Use your own figures: the machine price is confirmed at quote, and tape cost depends on the tape you choose.

The exact carton limits, maximum carton weight on the roller bed, telescopic conveyor extension, tape adhesive and core size, and any compressed air need are confirmed at quote for your cartons. For larger cartons, our box tape wrapper handles boxes L 300–1,500 mm, W 100–500 mm, H 200–500 mm.

The machine is designed to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 (safety of machinery, electrical equipment of machines). The moving tape head and the hold-down are the main hazards, and they are guarded on the frame. Guarding and CE documents are agreed per project.
