Kokkuvõte

A horizontal bubble film orbital wrapper for heater tube and panel products spirals bubble film round each heater as it runs through a ring on a conveyor. Soft press-down rollers hold it steady without marking the paint. Our E500 takes products over 1,500 mm long, 200–500 mm across and 50–500 kg, with a ring speed of about 10–60 r/min and a 3–12 m/min conveyor. A worked example sets the speeds for 50% overlap.

Sisukord

Why heaters are wrapped in bubble film

Heaters and radiator panels leave the paint line with a finished surface that must reach site unmarked. Edges and corners take knocks in handling, and the flat faces scratch when heaters are stacked. Bubble film cushions every face and edge, and a spiral wrap holds it on without tape.

Done by hand, bubble wrapping a long heater takes two people and still leaves loose ends. On the orbital wrapper one operator loads and the machine wraps the full length.

Our orbital wrapper with soft press-down

The machine is a ring wrapper with the product running horizontally through its centre. Yellow PU rollers on the in-feed and out-feed conveyors carry the heater. Above the conveyor, a yellow press-down frame on spring-loaded posts comes down onto the product and holds it while the ring turns round it.

Here the ring carries a narrow bubble film roll and lays it in a spiral as the heater moves through. For full sheet coverage, a bubble film covering unit ahead of the ring lays sheet bubble film first and the ring then stretch-wraps over it. Once the heater has passed, the press-down lifts.

Wrapping one heater

  1. Laadimine. Place the heater on the in-feed conveyor; a photocell detects it.
  2. Hoidke. The soft press-down comes onto the product.
  3. Head wrap. The ring starts and adds extra turns at the leading end.
  4. Spiraal. The conveyor moves the heater through the ring while the film spirals on.
  5. End wrap. Extra turns at the tail; the film is cut and clamped for the next product.
  6. Välja. The press-down lifts and the wrapped heater runs out.

E500 data

From our E500 horizontal stretch wrapper with bubble film page:

Kirje E500
Toote pikkus > 1,500 mm
Toote suurus ülevalt 200–500 mm
toote kaal 50–500 kg
In-feed / out-feed conveyor 2,000 mm L × 700 mm W each
Pakkimismaterjal LLDPE stretch film, paper, woven; 150–300 mm wide, roll OD 100–250 mm, core 50 mm
Mullikile on the ring, or sheet bubble film from the covering unit with a large-roll dispenser; roll size confirmed at quote
Konveieri kiirus 3–12 m/min
Helina kiirus approx. 10–60 r/min
Õhuvarustus 5–8 kgf/cm²
võim about 4.5 kW, AC 380 V 50 Hz 3-phase; control 24 V DC
Machine suurus u 5,200 × 1,600 × 1,800 mm

Options on the same frame include a bubble film covering unit with sealer ahead of the ring, and an automatic film feed, cut and clamp, so no hand film change is needed between products.

Worked example: conveyor and ring speed for 50% overlap

Illustrative product: one heater panel, 2,000 × 400 × 100 mm, 50 kg, 250 mm wide film, 50% overlap.

Vaata Arvutus Tulemus
Within the 500 mm product range √(400² + 100²) ≈ 412 mm
Spiral pitch 250 × (1 − 0.5) 125 mm per ring turn
Konveieri kiirus 40 p/min 0.125 m × 40 5 m / min
Wrap time over 2.0 m 2.0 ÷ 5 × 60 24 s, plus head and end turns
Rõnga pöörded 2,000 ÷ 125 16
Film on product 16 × 2 × (0.4 + 0.1) m ≈ 16 m

The 500 mm figure is the largest product size across; the ring opening is larger, and the working clearance is confirmed at quote. The film length is the flat perimeter; the helix adds well under 1%.

Tulemus. The pitch is set by the speed ratio, not by either speed alone: p = v ÷ n. At 60 r/min the conveyor can run at 7.5 m/min for the same 50% overlap, and the wrap time falls to 16 s. Both speeds are set on the touch screen, and the ratio stays the same.

Settings that protect a painted heater

  • Press-down force. Soft press-down with adjustable force, so the bubble film is held without crushing the bubbles.
  • Side guides. Set by hand to stop the product shaking in the ring.
  • Head and end delay. Extra turns at both ends, where knocks are most likely.
  • Filmi pinge. Light on bubble film, so it lies flat and does not neck down.

Valiku kontroll-leht

  1. Product length, width, height and weight.
  2. Bubble film only, or bubble film plus stretch film.
  3. Overlap and end reinforcement.
  4. Tooteid tunnis.
  5. Manual loading or line connection.
  6. Voltage and air supply.

Ohutus: EN 415-10 ja ISO 12100

This wrapper is designed to EN 415-10, with an ISO 12100 risk assessment for CE. The rotating ring, the press-down frame and the conveyors are the hazards. Shields cover the ring drive and moving parts, the ring has soft start, stop and jog, and alarms show on the touch screen. Film loading is done with the ring stopped.

Inseneri KKK

Q: What sets the overlap on an orbital wrapper? A: The ratio of conveyor speed to ring speed. Pitch equals conveyor speed divided by ring speed.

Q: Will the press-down mark the paint? A: It uses soft material with adjustable force, and it presses on the film layer.

Q: Can it put on bubble film and stretch film? A: Yes. A bubble film covering unit with sealer can go ahead of the stretch wrapping ring.

Q: Which standard applies? A: EN 415-10, with ISO 12100 behind the CE risk assessment.
