Our automatic tyre packing line takes tyres from the infeed conveyor, wraps each through the bead in stretch film and sends it to taping, labelling and stacking. This guide is for plant and production managers choosing between a full inline line and a stand-alone wrapper, on takt, tyre size span and conveyor integration. The line wraps one tyre every 30–35 s and stacks onto 1,200 × 1,200 mm pallets up to 1,200 mm high. Stand-alone FPT wrappers cover tyres from 510 to 1,400 mm OD. A worked example below sets tyres per pallet and how often a full pallet leaves.

A finished tyre picks up dust and scuffs every time it is handled. Packed by hand, each tyre is lifted, carried, wrapped and stacked again.
Packing inline does it once: the tyre leaves production on a conveyor, is wrapped, taped, labelled and stacked without being lifted. The label data also returns to your system, so the pallet is tracked from the moment it is built.

Uvnitř obalu pneumatiky
The ring carries the film on its own material wheels; as it turns, rollers rotate the tyre slowly so the film spirals all the way round. A clamper ties the film at the start. Inverters set ring, roller and conveyor speeds separately, which sets the overlap; tension is pre-set before the wrap. The rotating and centering rollers have PU covers, and the wrapper positions itself for tyre OD.

The FPT-200 has a C-ring that opens upward for car and motorcycle tyres; the FPT-400 suits truck and bus tyres. All three take PE, stretch film, knit belt, PP or silver paper.

Take a car tyre 650 mm OD, 200 mm high after wrapping — inside the line’s range — on a 150 mm pallet. Illustrative figures.
Tyres per layer. On a 1,200 mm pallet, 1,200 ÷ 650 = 1.8, so only one fits each way; two per side need a wrapped OD of 600 mm or less, with no clearance.
Vrstvy. The stack can use 1,200 − 150 = 1,050 mm; 1,050 ÷ 200 = 5.25, so 5 layers. Stacked straight, the pallet holds 5 tyres.
Rychlost linky. At about 35 s per tyre, 3,600 ÷ 35 = 103 is the pure wrapping limit; with station transfers we quote 80–90 tyres an hour.
Pallet rate. At 80–90 tyres an hour, a 5-tyre pallet fills every 200 s to 225 s — 16 to 18 pallets an hour, too many for one forklift. So send pallet size and tyre OD together: a larger pallet or different stacking pattern raises the count, and we program the robot for it.

Bezpečnost a EN 415-10
We use EN 415-10 as our packaging-machine design basis with a risk assessment to ISO 12100; the standards form a design and risk-assessment reference, not a certification claim for a delivered line. The main hazards are the turning ring, the lifting rollers and the robot’s stacking zone. Mesh fencing encloses the wrapper and conveyor, and guardrails cover moving parts. The ring starts and stops softly and resets home. Keep the stacking area fenced while the robot runs; certification of a delivered line is confirmed in the ordering agreement.

Q: Who changes the film roll?
A: In standard config, clamping, wrapping and cutting are automatic; the operator replaces a depleted film roll during a stop or safe gap. Full automatic roll splicing can be added as a custom option — raise it at project outset.

A: The line covers 600–1,000 mm OD. For truck and bus tyres up to 1,400 mm, use the FPT-400.
