Why pipe coils need both wrapping and strapping
A pipe coil — a coil of hose, tube, or small-diameter pipe — has two packaging problems. First, its outer laps can be scratched or scuffed when the coil rubs against other coils or the ground; a clear film layer protects that surface. Second, a coil that is not secured can loosen or telescope during lifting and transport; a strap around the circumference locks the laps together.
The video shows both protections applied in one cycle: film first, then strap. That sequence is the standard logic for coil packaging — protect the surface, then lock the bundle.
