Our automatic steel tube bagging machine takes tubes one at a time from a sloped rack. Driven rollers push each tube into a heat-sealed film sleeve, and the sealed tubes leave ready to bundle.
Tubes wait on a row of sloped blue arms and drop one by one onto a narrow belt conveyor. At the feed unit a geared motor drives a pair of pinch rollers in a blue frame with pneumatic hold-downs above. Further on, polyurethane guide rollers and a roller table lead to the bagging station, and the film roll stands on the frame beside it.

The line has three parts: steel tube feeding, bagging and out-feeding. The sloped rack holds a buffer of tubes so the operator or the mill can load in batches. The feed unit takes them singly at a steady speed. After bagging, the out-feed conveyor carries each sleeved tube to a collecting table for bundling.

1. Tubes are loaded on the sloped storage rack.
2. A separator drops one tube onto the belt conveyor.
3. The pinch rollers grip the tube and push it forward at the set speed.
4. Film is formed into a sleeve around the tube and sealed by the constant-temperature heat-sealing system.
5. The cross seal closes the sleeve between tubes and cuts it.
6. The out-feed conveyor carries the bagged tube to the collecting table.

Control is by PLC with inverter speed adjustment, and both entrance and outlet conveyors are automatic. Rack length and tube count in the buffer are set to your layout and confirmed at quote.
Feeding small tube
Thin tube is light and flexes, so it cannot be pushed from one end like a heavy pipe. Pinch rollers grip it near the bagging station and drive it at a constant speed, and the pneumatic hold-downs keep it from lifting. Polyurethane-covered rollers carry the tube without marking a polished or plated surface.
The bagging size adjusts to the tube OD, so one machine covers the range from 9.5 mm to 50 mm. The same envelope applies to aluminum profiles: the section must fit inside the 50 mm size. Minimum wall thickness for thin tube and the size changeover time are confirmed at quote.
Matching the tube mill
**Tubes per minute from the mill = mill speed ÷ cut length**
**Tubes per minute in the bagger = bagging speed ÷ (cut length + gap)**
Example only: a mill at 40 m/min cutting 6 m lengths makes about 6.7 tubes per minute. With a 0.5 m gap the bagger at 45 m/min handles 45 ÷ 6.5 ≈ 6.9 tubes per minute, just above the mill. If the mill runs faster, the sloped rack absorbs the difference only for a short time, so we specify the bagging speed with margin.

We design to EN ISO 12100:2010 for risk assessment, EN 415-10 for packaging machine safety and EN 60204-1 for the electrical equipment. Sensors and mechanical limiting stoppers guard the feed and sealing stations, and motors have over-current protection. The driven pinch rollers at the in-feed are a nip point, so they sit behind a guard that is interlocked with the drive.

Q: Can it run with oily tube?
A: A light oil film is common on steel tube. The seal is made film to film, and the constant-temperature sealing and cutting system is smokeless and leaves no film residue. The temperature is set for BOPP or PE.
Q: Is the machine only for steel?
A: No, it also bags aluminum profiles and other long products inside the OD range.
Q: Can I run it manually at start-up?
A: Yes, it has manual and automatic working modes.
