A wrapped and strapped pack protects the surface, holds the layers tight and gives the pallet a stable, even stack.

For coils going to electronics and power plants, the edge finish and the layer tension matter, so the wrap grade, strapping count and stacking pattern are confirmed per project.

What the line does

The line is a linked packing system for copper strip coils. A coil is placed on the infeed, moves down a roller conveyor to the wrapping unit, and the wrap and strap are applied to the coil side. A dual-arm robot then lifts the finished coil and places it onto a pallet to build a stack.

Loading the infeed and removing the full pallet are done by the operator, and the pack cycle runs by itself. Where a labeling station is specified, the machine prints and applies the coil tag to the finished pack before stacking, confirmed per project. Coil size, wrap grade and stacking pattern are confirmed per project.

Conveyor, wrapping unit and stacking robot

The line has a roller conveyor for coil travel, a wrapping unit above the conveyor with guide rollers for the film, and a dual-arm robot at the outfeed. The frame is light steel, with safety marking on the moving parts.

A control station with a screen sits beside the operating area for the line sequence. Conveyor pitch, wrapping unit reach and robot reach are confirmed per project.

Wrap, strap and stack cycle

A coil enters on the roller conveyor and stops under the wrapping unit. The wrapping device covers the coil side with the chosen protective material, and the strap is applied across the pack where the transport load requires it. The dual-arm robot then grips the finished coil, lifts it off the conveyor and sets it onto the pallet.

The next coil follows the same path, and the robot stacks each pack in the preset pattern. Wrap design and stacking pattern are confirmed per project.

What the footage shows

The clip shows the line in a workshop with green floor paint. A large copper strip coil is moved through the roller conveyor, the wrapping unit runs across the coil side, and the robot lifts the packed coil onto a pallet where similar coils are already stacked. It is a general demonstration, so your coil size, wrap grade and stacking pattern are confirmed per project.

Typical configuration

Figures below list functional design boundaries rather than numeric values, and are confirmed per project.

Parameter

Typical range, confirmed per project

Load

copper strip coil on a vertical stand, fed onto the conveyor

Conveyor

roller conveyor for coil travel through the line

Wrapping

wrapping unit above the conveyor with guide rollers

Strapping

strap across the pack where transport stability requires it

Stacking

dual-arm robot lifting coils onto the pallet

Labeling

coil tag printed and applied to the finished pack, confirmed per project

Electrical supply

380 V three phase 50 Hz, or 220 V single phase for light machines, selected per project

Selection checklist

Question

Confirm per project

Coil

outer diameter, width and weight of the copper strip coil

Wrap grade

PE or stretch film for moisture and dust protection, or VCI paper for corrosion protection, selected per project

Strapping

one to three straps per pack, selected per project by coil width, diameter and transport stability

Stacking

robot pattern and pallet layout for the finished coils

Cycle

line cycle time to match the production rate

Electrical supply

voltage, phase and frequency on site

Operation and safety

Place the coil on the infeed stand and start the sequence from the control screen.
