A film layer over the full length keeps the product clean and holds bundles together for transport.<\/p>\n<p>Wrapping a long piece by hand takes time and gives uneven coverage. An orbital wrapper moves the film around the product instead, so the product stays put while the film travels its length. Product length and size are confirmed per project.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-the-machine-does-1162\">What the machine does<\/h2>\n<p>The machine is a manual orbital stretch wrapper: a white body with a red rotating ring around a central opening, built over a roller conveyor. The product rests on the conveyor and stays still, the ring rotates around it, and clear stretch film is pulled from a film source and laid around the product in a spiral.<\/p>\n<p>The operator feeds each piece into the ring and guides it through. The film application is machine-driven by the rotating ring. Product dimensions and ring clearance are confirmed per project.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-ring-carries-the-film\">The ring carries the film<\/h2>\n<p>In this design the wrapping ring travels around the stationary product. The red ring rotates around the central opening, carrying the film with it, so the film is applied in a continuous spiral along the length of the product. Each pass of the ring lays the next band of film.<\/p>\n<p>Because the ring is fixed in position, the product moves through it to cover its full length. This is what makes the machine &#8220;manual&#8221;: the operator positions the load, and the machine applies the film. It suits products that come in batches where a line splits the difference between hand wrapping and a fully automatic line.<\/p>\n<p>The footage covers both square timber planks and a round metal bar, so the machine does not depend on one product shape.
