Why shrink wrapping for flat parts
A flat circular part, such as a pancake coil, picks up dust and marks while it is handled. A shrink-wrapped cover keeps the surface clean and holds the shape for stacking and transport.
Because the film tightens onto the part, the cover does not slip during movement. Part size and film type are confirmed per project.
What these machines do
These are side sealing and shrink wrapping machines for flat circular parts. The part is placed on a conveyor, film is laid over the top, and a heat hood closes over the part so the film shrinks tight against the surface.
A vertical machine draws the film and shrinks the part in place at the conveyor, and a horizontal machine runs longer parts through a hood at the same station. Part size and cycle are confirmed per project.
Heat hood and film press
The main structure is a painted metal frame with a heat hood above the conveyor and a film press beside it. The hood opens and closes over the part, and the press holds the film against the part before the heat steps in.
A control panel on the side of the machine carries a screen, push buttons and indicator lamps. Hood size and press travel are confirmed per project.

Place the part on the conveyor, start the cycle, and let the film press and heat hood run. Keep hands clear of the hood and the film area while the machine is running, and wait for the hood to open before removing the part.
Routine checks cover the film press, the conveyor and the heat hood, per the machine manual. Confirm the part is centred before each cycle.
