Yönetici Özeti: This page is for anyone who finishes copper or other soft-metal coils and has seen the first scratch appear where nobody remembers anything touching the coil. It explains why soft coils scratch during handling, what a well-run line does about it, and what to check before you buy. The clip further down shows a copper-coil handling line working through a cycle; it is a picture of one run, not a quality certificate.

A scratch on a copper coil is rarely cosmetic. It rides the whole coil into whatever is made from it, and it is hard to explain when the buyer finds it. This page tells you where those marks come from, how a line avoids them, and what to verify before you commit.
The clip further down shows one copper-coil line handling coils through a full cycle. Use it as a picture of the handling. The contact materials, the film sequence and the acceptance test come from the supplier, not from this video.
Why soft coils scratch during handling
Copper is soft. A steel coil can survive a slide that marks a copper one. So most of the marks are made in the moments nobody films: the coil pulled across one hard roller, the edge pressed against a stop, the strap sliding before it tightens.
The risk concentrates in three places. Transfers between stations, where a coil changes direction or machine. Handling before the film goes on, when the bare coil is most exposed. And any step that re-orients the coil, such as an upender. On that step the coil’s weight lands on its rim and its bore, and the load tends to shift while it turns.
So the question for a buyer is not whether the line is automated. It is what touches the bare coil, and how soft that contact is.
How the line in the clip handles coils
The clip answers that question for the parts of the line it shows. Each copper coil rides a bed of yellow rollers, so it rolls forward instead of dragging. The coil stays horizontal through the line, which removes the upend step from the fixture on purpose or by design. At the transfer, a gantry-style gripper picks the coil up and sets it down, so the load is lifted rather than slid.
Around the working area, yellow guard rails and warning signs mark the machine zone. That part of the footage is the floor-safety side of the same button of quality.
Videoda gösterilenler
What the video shows is a copper-coil handling line completing a cycle. Direct observation notes from the sampled frames follow. Coils travel horizontal on yellow roller conveyors. A gantry gripper lifts each coil from one conveyor and sets it on another. Film is applied before the final packaging stage.
Every coil in the clip stays horizontal. No upend stroke appears, so the upending protection on this page is what you check with a supplier, not something this video proves. The clip also does not show a legible cycle time, a load rating, or an emergency stop operating.
Onaylamadan önce neleri doğrulamanız gerekiyor?
A video shows one run. A purchase protects every coil that follows. Get the answers below in writing and keep them with the quotation.
| Tedarikçiden şunu isteyin: | Satın alma kararını neden etkiliyor? |
|---|---|
| Coated or cushioned rollers on the conveying path | Bare metal rollers are how the first scratch appears |
| How the gripper picks up and sets down each coil | Lifting beats dragging, and the target surface matters |
| Where the film is applied relative to further handling | Film before further handling keeps the coil covered |
| The upender’s support and cradle, if you need vertical coils | Upending presses the coil on its rim; support width decides damage |
| Guarding, warning signs and the emergency stop on the line | Visible hardware is the floor-safety side of quality |
| Kendi bobininizde kesintisiz bir kabul işlemi gerçekleştirin. | The only check that shows real handling, not a highlight reel |
Bunu olduğu gibi tedarikçiye gönderin:
- Quote the coil envelope and daily volume you need the line to carry.
- Ask whether the rollers and contact points are coated or cushioned.
- Ask how coils are picked and placed at each transfer: lift, never slide.
- Ask where film is applied in the sequence, and whether it precedes further handling.
- If you need vertical coils, ask for the upender support width and a demo with your most delicate coil.
- Book one uncut acceptance run on your own coil, with a visible clock.
SSS
Do copper coils need special handling, or is a standard line fine?
Copper is soft, so the same handling that leaves steel coils clean can mark copper. The difference is in the details: coated rollers, lifting picks, film early in the sequence, and controlled transfers. Ask for the details, not for the word automated.
Can I judge scratch protection from this video?
Partially. The clip shows rollers, a gripper that lifts, and film being applied. It does not show an upend stroke or the contact materials, so the upending protection on this page is what you verify with the supplier, not what this footage proves.
What should I inspect on acceptance day?
Watch one uncut run on your own coil, then inspect that coil immediately after each station. Look at the rollers and the grippers, ask where the film is applied, and check that the guard rails and warning signs are in working order.

Sonraki adım
First, decide whether your process needs vertical coils at all. If it does not, an upender is extra handling and extra risk, and the roller-and-gripper handling in this clip is the relevant part.
