Резюме This clip from our workshop shows our orbital wrapper for long objects wrapping three short bands along a round bar. The bar is centred in the ring by hand-wheel units, the ring wraps one band, the bar moves on and the next band is wrapped. Our F series rod wrapper handles products 200–500 mm across and 2,000–10,000 mm long, with ring speeds of 30–60 r/min. Below we cover band wrapping, the data and a worked example for time per band.

The result is three short wrapped bands along the bar rather than a full spiral, which uses less material where the bands only need to hold or protect at set points.
Band wrapping or full spiral
- Bands at set points. The ring wraps only where the bar or bundle needs holding, such as near the ends and the middle.
- Full spiral. The bar travels through while the ring turns, so the wrap covers the whole length.

Wrapping tension is set by a brake, and the machine alarms automatically on a fault.
Bands per bar
Пример решения задачи (иллюстративный). If each band takes 6 ring turns at 60 r/min, the ring needs 6 ÷ 60 = 0.1 minute, or 6 s, per band. Three bands then take about 18 s of ring time per bar, plus the indexing time between positions.

Безопасность
The ring turns close to the centring units, and the operator sets the hand wheels before the cycle. We guard the ring zone to the risk assessment and set the controls so the ring turns only when the operator is clear. For CE markets we apply ISO 12100:2010 and EN 415-10: 2014.
