## Direct observation notes

These structure observations are taken directly from the video frames. Anything that could not be read in the footage is marked as such.

* **Coil:** a black coil of tightly wound fine wire or cable, diameter roughly one and a half times the height of the machine’s support columns; it stays horizontal and stationary throughout.
* **Support:** two white support columns hold the coil in place in the center of the machine.
* **Wrapping arm:** an arched metal arm (with yellow rollers) above the coil; it descends while film is fed from the top.
* **Film roll:** a transparent stretch film roll on a spindle at the top of the machine; film is pulled down and spiraled around the coil’s outer surface.
* **Frame:** blue painted metal machine frame on a blue base; white/off-white supporting structures.
* **Control panel:** a blue control box on the right with a green start button, a red stop button, and further function buttons and indicator lights (indicators not lit in the footage).
* **People:** an operator in blue workwear with white gloves makes a final adjustment/inspection at the end of the cycle.
* **Watermark:** the site watermark `www.fhopepack.com` is visible at the bottom right throughout the footage.

The machine keeps the load stationary and moves the film-applying mechanism around it — a static-coil design.

## What the video shows: the wrapping mechanism

Because the machine type is easy to confuse, it is worth restating how this unit works:

* A black cable/wire coil is loaded onto the support columns and remains still.
* The machine starts; the overhead arched arm moves down while transparent film is pulled from the top roll.
* The film is applied in a tight spiral around the coil’s outer surface.
* At the end, the film end is pressed down to seal the wrap; an operator performs a final check.
* The footage then shows a second coil being wrapped the same way.

This contrasts with a turntable wrapper, where the load rotates. Here the **coil is static** and the wrapping mechanism rotates around it.

## What the video does not show

The clip demonstrates the wrapping action only. It does not show:

* Coil size range — outer diameter, inner diameter, width, and weight.
* Cycle time and throughput (coils per hour).
* Number of film layers and film type/width.
* Model number, power, and voltage.
* Rated load capacity of the machine.
* Emergency stop, guarding, or light curtains.
* Certifications (CE, ISO).
* Maintenance and noise/energy data.

All of these must come from the manufacturer’s data sheet.

## Operator notes

Human involvement is minimal and visible only at the end: an operator’s hand (blue workwear, white gloves) appears to adjust or check the finished wrap. Loading and starting are otherwise the only steps seen; the wrapping itself is automatic.

## Source and method

This article is based on the embedded demonstration video (YouTube ID `NjYD4olOG7s`, about 49 seconds). Frames were sampled at two-second intervals and analyzed with a local vision model (Qwen3-VL), with a focused re-check of the later frames confirming a second wrapping cycle and that the coil is stationary while the mechanism rotates around it. The video contains background music only; there is no narration, so all observations are visual and timestamps are approximate.
