Streszczenie Our profile and panel shrinking line wraps long products in shrink film, seals them along the length and shrinks the film in a tunnel. A longitudinal side knife makes product length unlimited. The machine choice depends on the cross-section: our side sealer takes products with width + height between 400 i 900 mm, while our profile shrink line takes narrower sections up to 450 mm wide and 150 mm high.

Jak działa linia

In this installation, our line packs long flat panels and profiles in three stages:

  1. Zapakuj i zamknij. The product runs on a belt conveyor into the sealer. Film wraps around it, the side knife seals the length and the cross knife seals the ends.
  2. Kurczyć się. A roller conveyor carries the sealed pack through the heat shrink tunnel, where the film tightens onto the product.
  3. Rozładować. At the end of the line, operators stack the finished boards.

The sealer has a warning label at the knife: keep hands out of the cutter. The seal knives are heated and must be guarded in operation.

Choosing the machine by cross-section

Length is not the limit, because the side knife seals continuously. The cross-section decides which machine fits:

  • Panel 600 mm wide and 50 mm thick: width + height = 650 mm. This is inside the side sealer window.
  • Profile bundle 200 mm wide and 100 mm high: width + height = 300 mm. This is below the side sealer window, but fits the profile shrink line.

Line speed for long products

On the profile line, the tunnel conveyor (0–10 m/min) is slower than the sealer (20 m/min). So the tunnel sets the output. A quick upper bound:

  1. Tunnel speed. At the full 10 m/min, 10 m of product passes per minute.
  2. Sztuk na godzinę. For 6 m profiles, 60 × 10 ÷ 6 = 100 pieces per hour.
  3. Real output. This figure is a ceiling, not a rating. Each piece needs a gap for the cross seal, and the film may need a slower tunnel speed to shrink well, so real output is lower. We confirm the tunnel speed on your film and product in a trial.

Folia i uszczelnianie

  • Side knife. A constant-temperature side knife seals the length. It works continuously, so product length is not limited.
  • Cross knife. The cross knife moves vertically to seal the front and rear ends. The seal line is straight and strong.
  • Film length. An electric eye and timer set the film feed length. Horizontal and vertical electric eyes also detect thin or small products.
  • Złom. The film edge trim is taken up automatically by a separate motor.
  • Dostosowanie. Changing pack size only needs a hand wheel.

The side sealer uses a Siemens colour touch screen with PLC and an Omron temperature controller. The seal bars are permanently heated and coated with Teflon.

The shrink tunnel is the main power load, up to 28 kW on the side sealer line, so check the supply at the line before installation. The standards that apply depend on the destination market. For CE markets, ISO 12100 sets the risk-assessment method and EN 415-10 sets general requirements for packaging machines.

Selection checklist for a profile and panel shrink line

  • Largest and smallest cross-section (width and height).
  • Shortest and longest product length.
  • Typ folii: PE lub POF.
  • Pieces per hour and the tunnel speed this needs.
  • Infeed and outfeed conveyors, and stacking at the end.
  • Electrical supply for the shrink tunnel, and compressed air.

Q: Is product length limited? A: No. The side knife seals continuously, so length is not limited. On the side sealer, the minimum length is 250 mm.
