Wat de video laat zien
Onbewerkte aluminium profielen bewegen over een blauwe rollenbaan naar gele foliewikkelkoppen, waar een witte rol transparante folie op elk profiel aanbrengt. De profielen verlaten de rol glanzend en gecoat.
Verderop worden de profielen gegroepeerd en een omsnoeringskop brengt een groene band aan rond de bundel. De lijn verplaatst de bundels vervolgens zijwaarts naar een stapel. Een zwart traliewerk omsluit de lijn en het bedieningspaneel is voorzien van een rode noodstop.

Filmhoeveelheid per profiel berekenen
Illustratief voorbeeld voor een profiel van 60 × 40 mm, 6 m lang, met een folie van 100 mm die half overlapt:

Minder overlapping bespaart film, maar zorgt voor een dunnere laag aan de randen. Dit zijn lengtes die op het profiel zijn gelegd; voorstrekken betekent dat er minder film van de rol afrolt.
Afstand tussen bundelbanden
Illustratief voorbeeld voor een bundel van 6,000 mm met 4 banden en een afstand van 500 mm van elk uiteinde tot de eerste band:

Bediening en veiligheid
De wikkelkoppen, omsnoeringskop en stapelaar bewegen zich snel in de kooi met tralies. Houd mensen buiten de kooi terwijl de lijn draait en gebruik de noodstop op het bedieningspaneel voordat u naar binnen reikt.
De geldende normen zijn afhankelijk van de bestemmingsmarkt. Voor CE-markten beschrijft ISO 12100 de risicobeoordelingsmethode en EN 415-10 de algemene eisen voor verpakkingsmachines.

Q: Why wrap each profile before bundling?
A: So profiles do not rub on each other inside the bundle, which is where most scratches start.
Q: How much film does a profile take?
A: Profile perimeter times turns. About 24 m laid for a 60 × 40 mm, 6 m profile at half overlap in our example.
Q: How far apart should the straps be?
A: About 1,667 mm for 4 straps on a 6,000 mm bundle with 500 mm end distances in our example.
Q: What if I reduce the film overlap?
A: It saves film but leaves a thinner cover at the profile edges.
Q: Is the line guarded?
A: Yes. A barred cage encloses it, with an emergency stop on the panel.
Q: What happens after strapping?
A: The line moves the bundles sideways to a stack.
