Santrauka A wooden board, door plate and panel shrinking machine wraps long flat products in shrink film automatically, from infeed to outfeed. The product advances while film covers it, a side seal and a cross seal close the package, and a heat tunnel shrinks the film tight. Operators work one touch screen, and film, tunnel temperature and conveyor speed are set per product. Below, our engineering team breaks down the line layout, the component architecture and the project sizing criteria.

What long-product shrink wrapping does
Wooden boards, door plates, panels and extrusions are long, flat and easily damaged, so their packaging has always been manual work. A shrink wrapping line changes that: it feeds the product through in one direction, wraps it in film, seals both ends and shrinks the film against the surfaces, all without rotating the product.
This is a straight-through line. The product lies flat on the conveyor, the film wraps its outline, and a heat tunnel shrink-fits the film so the finish follows the edges. Because the product only moves forward, the line suits boards that are longer than they are wide, and it runs the same way for single pieces and stacked bundles. A durų susitraukimo mašina handles door panel stacks the same way.
Kaip eina linija
The operator places the board or door plate on the infeed conveyor, aligning it between the clamping guides that hold it on the center of the line. Sensors detect the product and its length, and the cycle starts.
Film is delivered from a roll and wrapped around the product as it advances. A continuous side seal runs along the length of the package, and an intermittent cross seal closes the front and back, separating each package as it leaves the station.
The loosely wrapped product then enters the shrink tunnel. Controlled hot air circulation contracts the film against the ends and faces, and the package continues to the outfeed conveyor, where cooling fans help the film set before handling.
Produktai, kuriuos tvarko linija
The line is built for elongated flat products whose length is handled by the continuous side seal. Typical loads are wood door protection film projects, solid or hollow wooden door leafs, furniture boards, veneer and painted panels, plus profiles and long building components within the workable width.
Traditional hand packing of these items is labor-intensive and inconsistent, and offers weak protection against scratches, dust, moisture and shifting during transport. Very long extrusions are wrapped peripherally with precision orbital wrapping for extra-long panels instead. A tight shrink film seals and protects the finished faces, keeps bundled pieces together, and gives a clean retail-ready presentation. Widths beyond the standard range or stacked bundles are confirmed against the machine capacity per project.
Pagrindiniai komponentai
The line is built from an infeed conveyor, a film delivery system, a sealing system, a shrink tunnel, an outfeed conveyor and a control system.
The infeed conveyor transports the product into the wrapping station, and sensors detect its presence and length to start the cycle. Film is delivered from a roll, typically a center-folded POF or PE film, and fed precisely around the product.
The sealing system uses a continuous motion side sealer together with an intermittent cross seal bar, so varying lengths are accommodated without changing the machine setup. The shrink tunnel follows, with adjustable air circulation and temperature, and the outfeed conveyor moves the finished package out, often with cooling fans to set the film.
Tipinis specifikacijų diapazonas
The values below are representative figures for long-product shrink wrappers in this class. Confirm the exact values against your product size, film and line per project.
| Punktas | Representative range |
|---|---|
| Max product width | 500–800 mm+ |
| Maksimalus gaminio aukštis | 100–300 mm+ |
| Max product length | continuous side seal handles long lengths |
| Sandarinimo sistema | continuous side seal + intermittent cross seal |
| Pakavimo greitis | up to 15–25 packs/min, length dependent |
| Filmas | POF or PE, 15–80 microns, selected per project |
| Kontrolė | PLC su jutikliniu ekranu HMI |
| Elektros energija | 380 V / 50 Hz / 3 phase, typical |
The tunnel temperature and conveyor speed are adjustable from the panel and are set for the installed film and product. The film grade is selected per project on product weight, bundle rigidity and the required puncture resistance, so the 15 to 80 micron range serves boards, doors and stacked bundles.
Control and changeover
A PLC with a touch-screen HMI is the operating center of the line. The operator sets the sealing time, tunnel temperature and conveyor speed, stores them as product recipes, and recalls the recipe when the same board format returns.
Because the side seal is continuous, the changeover between product lengths does not require a mechanical adjustment. Switching between film gauges or between a single board and a stacked bundle takes seconds of parameter changes rather than a re-tool, which keeps short runs and mixed orders economical.
The gains are protection, throughput, consistency and film economy. A sealed and shrunk package keeps out dust, dirt and moisture, clips minor handling scuffs and holds the product together in transit. The line packages fully automatically, so it outpaces hand wrapping and cuts labour, and because film is applied only where needed, material consumption is lower than manual wrapping or bagging.

Eksploatavimo ir saugos pagrindai
Start with load placement. Center the product on the infeed conveyor between the clamping guides so it travels straight through the sealing station and the tunnel; an off-center load can skew the film and the seals. Confirm the product height stays inside the tunnel opening.
The tunnel operates hot, so keep hands and materials clear of the infeed and outfeed areas while the line runs, and unload the finished package after it has left the tunnel. The machine carries an emergency stop, and the guards around the moving and hot sections stay in place while running. Follow the lockout procedure in the manual before a film change, a sealing bar adjustment or a tunnel service.
Priežiūros pagrindai
Run the daily checks before the first shift. Inspect the film path and the sealing bar for residue, confirm the tunnel fans and heaters read correctly, and verify the sensors trigger the cycle as the product passes.
Clean the sealing bars regularly so the seal stays clean and strong, and check the tunnel airflow for build-up. Keep the conveyor and clamps free of dust and sawdust, which boards and doors produce in volume. Grease the moving parts per the manual, and confirm the emergency stop and guards are in place before the line is restarted.
Inžinerijos DUK
Q: Which products can this line shrink-wrap? A: Long flat products: wooden door leafs, boards, veneer and painted panels, and profiles within the workable width. Single pieces and stacked bundles are both handled.
Q: How are the film ends sealed? A: A continuous side seal runs the length of the package, and an intermittent cross seal closes the front and back and separates the packages.
Q: What film does the line run? A: Typical shrink films are POF and PE in the 15 to 80 micron range; the gauge is confirmed against the product and the required protection.
Q: What does the operator set on the panel? A: Sealing time, tunnel temperature and conveyor speed, saved as a recipe per product so repeat runs start without re-setting.
Q: What speed does the line reach? A: Representative throughput is up to 15–25 packs per minute, depending on product length and line configuration.
