The wrap runs automatically; feeding and unloading still use a person. Read this to see where the automation starts and stops before you plan the line into your floor.

## What the video shows

The video is a shop-floor demonstration with background music and no narration. All descriptions below come from visual observation, sampled frame by frame.

* A worker takes a **large silver metal ring** from a stand and places it on a tilting green frame (0–16 s).
* The frame **tilts and carries the coil** into the machine (16–24 s).
* An **overhead arm with a reel** starts wrapping white material around the coil (24–56 s).
* The arm finishes, lifts, and the worker **removes the wrapped coil** (56–60 s).
* The worker places it on a roller conveyor, then onto a wooden pallet (60–72 s).

## Direct observation notes

* **Machine:** green-painted steel frame with an orange overhead arm and a red control panel marked DA-5.
* **Transfer:** a tilting frame moves the coil from horizontal feed into the wrapping zone.
* **Wrap:** white sheet or tape material drawn from a reel on the overhead arm.
* **Product:** large, ring-shaped steel coil with a silver metallic surface.
* **People:** one operator handles feed and unload; the machine runs the wrap cycle.
* **Layout:** feed area → tilting transfer → wrapping zone → roller output → pallet.

## What the video does not show

The demonstration shows the concept, not the engineering package. It does not show:

* Rated coil weight, diameter, and width.
* Wrap material type and number of layers.
* Cycle time per coil.
* Machine power and air requirements.
* Model details beyond the DA-5 panel label.
* Certification and safety devices.
* Maintenance requirements.

Use the missing list as the opening agenda for your discussion with the manufacturer.

## Following a coil through the line

Think of the line as stations, with a person between two of them:

| Station      | What happens                                          | Time in video |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------- | ------------- |
| 1\. Feed     | Operator places the coil on the tilting frame         | 0–16 s        |
| 2\. Transfer | Frame tilts and moves the coil into the wrapping zone | 16–24 s       |
| 3\. Wrap     | Overhead arm wraps white material around the coil     | 24–56 s       |
| 4\. Output   | Operator removes the coil and places it on a pallet   | 56–72 s       |

The sequence is easy to follow in the footage. The coil stays horizontal until the frame tilts it, wraps in the tilted position, then returns to the operator’s level.

## Where the automation starts and stops

Know the boundary before you plan staffing:

| Step                      | Automated | Manual   |
| ------------------------- | --------- | -------- |
| Feed coil to the frame    |           | Operator |
| Tilt and transfer         | Machine   |          |
| Wrap material around coil | Machine   |          |
| Remove wrapped coil       |           | Operator |
| Place on pallet           |           | Operator |

This is a semi-automatic line. It removes the physical work of wrapping, but it does not remove the person. If you need full automation, ask about palletizing integration separately.

## Planning the line into your shop

Before you commit floor space, check these:

* **Swing path.** The tilting frame needs clear space above and behind the feed position.
* **Pallet flow.** Output is manual to a pallet; plan where the pallet sits and how it leaves.
* **Operator access.** One person works both ends; keep the walk between stations short.
* **Utility points.** Confirm power and air near the control panel and the overhead arm.
* **Product range.** The frame and arm are sized to the coil envelope; confirm your mix.
* **Integration.** If a conveyor or wrapping line exists, confirm interface heights and controls.

## Buyer questions

**What coil sizes fit the line?**Confirm OD, ID, width, and weight against your production mix.

**What material does the arm wrap with?**Ask whether the white material is paper, film, or tape, and how many layers you can set.

**What is the cycle time?**Ask for coils per hour, including the manual feed and unload time.

**Can the line run without the operator at feed?**Ask whether a conveyor-fed version exists for full automation.

**What is the machine footprint?**Request a layout drawing with the tilting frame swing included.

**What safety equipment is fitted?**Confirm guards, emergency stop, and certifications before quoting.

## Operator notes

* **Handle the coil edges.** Coil edges are sharp; keep hands clear when placing and removing.
* **Stay out of the swing path.** The frame and arm move through fixed arcs; stand clear during the cycle.
* **Check the reel before each run.** A low reel stops the line mid-wrap.
* **Confirm the frame is clear.** Never start the tilt with tools or hands in the path.
* **Use the controls deliberately.** The red DA-5 panel has limited buttons; know which one stops the machine.

## Why the line earns its place

The practical argument is in the video: the machine does the wrapping, the person does the handling. That split suits plants where coil volume is real but not high enough to justify a fully robotized line. It also keeps the operator in the loop for quality checks at both ends of the cycle.

The honest caveat is the same as any demo: you are watching capability, not specification. Rated sizes, cycle time, and certifications come from the manufacturer’s data, so confirm them before you cut floor space for the line.
