What a steel coil packing line does
A steel coil has a soft surface that must not be scratched, and it has to arrive at the customer held firmly so the bands stay tight and the edges stay clean. A packing line does this in steps: the coil is positioned, wrapped, and finished for transport.
Linking the steps on one line removes the handling between separate machines and keeps the coil moving at a steady rhythm. Line layout and coil handling are confirmed per project.

The wrap station
At the wrap station, the coil is held by the gripping arm and turned as the wrapping unit applies film to the surface. The coil rotates against the film feed so the wrap covers the coil evenly, layer by layer. The band or film from the side unit is laid on in step with the rotation.
Each coil gets the same coverage because the movement is machine-run. Wrap speed and pass pattern are confirmed per project.
Joining wrap and banding
A complete coil packing job usually combines a protective wrap with a banding step. The line pulls the two together: the side unit feeds a white band or film material off its roll and through tension control while the coil is wrapped. Joining them in the line saves the transfer between separate operations.
The feed unit’s rolls and tension control match the wrapping rhythm. Banding pattern and material are confirmed per project.

תפעול ובטיחות
Load the coil into the wrap station, start the cycle, and the machine grips, rotates and wraps the coil under power. Keep clear of the rotating coil, the film path and the side feed while the line runs, with the working area fenced off.
Routine checks cover the gripping arm, the rotating drive, the film and band feeds, per the machine manual. Confirm the settings against the coil before each run.
