Imballaggio di tubi e condotti in plastica: funzionamento e applicazioni

Panoramica

Long plastic pipes and tubes reach the end of the line as loose, unwieldy lengths, and the expensive step is not the wrapping or strapping itself but feeding the sticks into the packing line without a team of operators bending, carrying and re-aligning each one by hand. An automatic feeding and packing line takes the loose rods or tubes, aligns them into a clean bundle and packs the bundle, so the job is driven by mechanical alignment instead of operator judgment. This guide explains the infeed-and-packing sequence, where automatic feeding beats the manual option, what to specify, and what to verify before acceptance. It is written for plant engineers and production managers in plastic pipe and tube plants.

The rod-and-tube automatic feeding and packing line is shown below:

The Automatic Infeed and Packing Sequence

step Che succede
Alimentazione Loose rods or tubes are placed on the long infeed conveyor.
allineamento Guides and pneumatic stops square the sticks to the conveyor centreline.
Bundle build A set number of sticks is grouped into a bundle of the target count and cross-section.
Imballaggio The bundle is strapped and/or film-wrapped at the packing station.
Scarico The packed bundle continues to storage or loading.

Counting, alignment and bundle formation run on the machine, so the bundle shape is repeatable from the first run of the shift to the last. Strap spacing, wrap pattern and bundle count are set for your product and confirmed per project.

Manual vs Automatic Feeding

Caratteristica Alimentazione manuale Linea automatica
Manovrabilità Operators lift, carry and re-align each stick Conveyor carries; guides align
allineamento Eye-judged bundle to bundle Fixed guides, repeatable
Lavoro One to two operators on bending and lifting One operator supervises and loads supplies
Pacing Follows the team’s pace Set to match the packing station’s pace
Consistenza Drifts across shifts Held by the machine per program

The automatic option earns its place when bundle volumes are high enough that manual alignment becomes a bottleneck, or when a fixed, repeatable bundle is required for stable downstream and transit handling.

Collaudo e accettazione in fabbrica

  1. Prove dell'intero ciclo. A test log of complete infeed / align / bundle / pack cycles on a representative rod or tube bundle.
  2. Corsa prolungata. La prassi dichiarata dal fornitore per questa famiglia di macchine prevede test pre-consegna pressoché continui (fino a circa 24 ore, ove specificato).
  3. Controllo e sicurezza. Smooth, responsive control and a verified emergency stop, with guarding and interlocks around the infeed, alignment and packing areas.
  4. Line pacing. Straight passage from infeed to discharge at the required pace without jams or misalignment.
  5. La messa in produzione. Descrizione scritta dell'installazione, della messa in servizio e dell'assistenza in loco.
  6. On arrival, repeat: empty pass, loaded pass, emergency stop, and a check that the bundle stays aligned through the station. The line is designed with EN 415-10 as the packaging-machinery safety reference and an ISO 12100 risk assessment for the infeed and packing areas.

    FAQ

Q: What products does this line feed and pack?

A: Loose rods, pipes and tubes that arrive as individual lengths and need to be counted, aligned and packed in bundles. Diameter, length and bundle weight are confirmed per project.

Q: Where does automatic feeding help most?

A: When manual bending, carrying and re-aligning becomes the slow step, or when every bundle must come out the same shape for downstream and transit.

Q: Is the bundle strapped or wrapped?

A: Either or both, set per project. State your packing method (strap, film, or a combination) when specifying.

Q: Does it keep pace with the extrusion line?

A: The line is paced to your output; confirm your line pace so conveyor speed and automation are sized correctly.

Q: What do I need to send for a proposal?

A: Tube diameter, wall and length, bundle count and weight, packing method and line pace, plus your plant’s electrical supply.

    Passo successivo

Send rod/tube diameter, length, bundle count and weight, packing method and line pace, and your plant’s electrical supply so the line is sized on the approval drawing.
