Sintesi Our FPH-300N hose coil stretch wrapping machine seals light hose and plastic tube coils in film by running a ring through the coil eye. The coil stands upright on driven rollers, eye vertical, and turns while the ring wraps it from the inside out. It handles coils of 10 to 100 kg at up to 120 r/min, in about 23 to 35 s per coil. A worked example checks that cycle time against coil size.

Why hose coils are film wrapped
Garden hose, corrugated conduit and plastic tube leave the coiler as springy coils held by a few ties. Loose coils unwind, collect dust and scuff each other in cartons and on shelves. Retail buyers want a clean coil that stays round and shows the product.
Wrapping film through the eye closes the coil. It holds the turns in place, keeps the hose clean and leaves the colour and print visible through clear film. Done by hand, it is slow work for several people on a busy coiling line.
How the FPH-300N wraps a hose coil
The operator stands the coil upright on the driven rollers, threads it onto the ring through its eye and closes the yellow mesh guard. The cycle then starts. The film ring passes through the coil eye and round the outside while the rollers turn the coil, so each wrap lands beside the last. The film works round the coil from the inside to the outside.
When the coil is fully covered, the ring stops at its reset position. The operator opens the guard and lifts the wrapped coil off. The reset function makes it quick to change between coil sizes. The machine runs in manual or automatic mode.
FPH-300N specifications
| Articolo | FPH-300N |
|---|---|
| coil ID | Φ300–700 mm |
| coil OD | Φ500–1,000 mm |
| Larghezza della bobina | 100–300 mm |
| peso della bobina | 10-100 kg |
| Tempo di confezionamento | 23–35 secondi per bobina |
| Velocità dell'anello | max. 120 r/min, set by frequency converter |
| sovrapposizione | 10% -90% |
| Film | stretch film, roll OD 100–180 mm, ID 50 mm, width 90–100 mm |
| Altri materiali | carta o HDPE, a scelta |

A brake on the film carriage keeps the ring running smoothly, and film tension is adjustable.
Worked example: ring turns, cycle time and coils per hour
Take a hose coil of 800 mm OD, 400 mm ID and 200 mm width. These are illustrative customer figures.
Ring turns. With 100 mm film and 50% overlap at the OD, each turn advances 50 mm round the outside. The OD circumference is π × 800 = 2,513 mm, so the coil needs 2,513 ÷ 50 = 50.3, or 51 turns.
Tempo di ciclo. At the top ring speed of 120 r/min, 51 turns take 51 ÷ 120 = 0.43 min, about 26 s. That sits inside the 23–35 s range on our spec sheet.
Overlap at the eye. The same 51 turns crowd round the smaller 400 mm eye. There the advance is 50 × 400 ÷ 800 = 25 mm per turn, so the overlap at the eye is 75%. The inside of the coil carries more layers.
Pellicola per bobina. One turn follows the coil section: 2 × (200 + 200) = 800 mm, where 200 mm is (OD − ID) ÷ 2. So 51 turns use about 41 m of film before stretch.
Bobine all'ora. Suppose loading and unloading take 15 s by hand, an illustrative figure. Each coil then takes about 26 + 15 = 41 s, or 3,600 ÷ 41 = 87 coils an hour.
Options for higher output
When hand loading limits output, we add an automatic film cutter and feeder so the operator only places and removes coils. A logo tape applicator puts your brand on each coil. A light beam can replace the guard door, and the wrapping station can move to meet the coiler. With these, the FPH-300N joins a coiling line as an inline wrapping station.
Lista di controllo per la selezione: cosa inviarci
- Coil ID, OD and width range.
- Peso bobina.
- Hose type: smooth, corrugated or reinforced.
- Film type and whether you want logo tape.
- Coils per hour from your coiler.
- Alimentazione elettrica in loco.
Sicurezza e norma EN 415-10
We design the wrapper to EN 415-10 for packaging machines and assess risks to ISO 12100. The turning ring and the driven rollers are the main hazards. A yellow mesh guardrail encloses the wrapping area, and the operator closes it before the cycle starts. A light beam is available where an open front suits the line better.
FAQ di ingegneria
Q: Can it wrap heavier hose coils? A: The FPH-300N takes coils up to 100 kg. For heavier coils we offer the larger FPH-400 and FPH-500.
Q: Why is the film thicker at the eye? A: Every turn passes through the eye, which is a smaller circle than the outside, so the layers crowd together there.
Q: Can I use paper instead of film? A: Yes. Paper and HDPE are optional packing materials.
D: Quali norme di sicurezza si applicano? R: ISO 12100 per la valutazione dei rischi e EN 415-10 per la macchina, nei mercati CE.
