In the animation the unit is a compact floor-standing machine with two roller decks and a lift platform between them. A control cabinet sits on the support column with indicator lights and buttons. The clip shows one clean lift-and-hand-over cycle.
How a pallet truck loads the lifter
A hand pallet truck is the natural way to load this lifter. The operator rolls the truck up to the lower deck, pushes the pallet onto the rollers, lowers the forks and draws the truck back out. The pallet is then in place for the lift.
That loading step sets a hard requirement on the machine. A hand pallet truck lifts its forks only about 85 mm off the floor, and reaches roughly 200 mm at full stroke. The lower deck has to sit low enough for the truck to place the pallet, or the installation needs a ramp or a pit.

How the lifter docks with the conveyor line
The upper deck is the hand-off point. It has to line up with the pass height of whatever takes the pallet next: a chain or roller conveyor, a wrapping station infeed, or a transfer unit.
Two heights get confused in line planning, and the mix-up is expensive. The pass line is the height at which the load travels. The receiving machine’s frame decides it, and only its supplier can confirm the figure.
A working height around 800–1,000 mm is a different thing. That is where a standing operator’s hands and eyes belong, not where a pallet travels. OSHA’s technical manual puts platforms and conveyors at about waist height, to avoid awkward postures. CCOHS puts the best hand height for light conveyor work at about 1,070 mm, five to ten centimetres below elbow height.
Ask the supplier which of the two heights its drawing shows before you approve it.
A lifter with one platform and two fixed landings is the machine class that EN 1570-1 covers, the European safety standard for lifting tables. It sets requirements for controls, guarding and risk assessment, so ask for a statement of compliance rather than a frame drawing alone.
Why the bend disappears
Manual pallet transfer is a bending task, and bending carries a measurable price. A prospective cohort study of workers found a higher risk of low back pain among those who held the trunk at 60 degrees of flexion or more for over 5% of the working time. The same study found a higher risk when workers lifted 25 kg or more more than 15 times in a working day.
A floor lifter answers both findings. It never asks the operator to bend or to lift, because the truck delivers the pallet and the machine changes its level. What remains for the operator is truck handling and supervision, the tasks a machine cannot take over.
Two details decide whether the gain is real. The first is the feed height at the lower deck, as above. The second is the walking distance between the delivery point and the discharge, because a lifter that saves a bend but adds steps per pallet moves the problem instead of removing it.
