90° upending vs 180° turning

The 90° machines tilt a load on a table. A 180° machine has to hold the load from both sides, because the load is upside down at the end of the turn. That is what the double clamp does.
How the double-clamp inverter works
1. **Load.** A forklift or pallet truck sets the load on the lower plate. The base is at floor level.
2. **Clamp.** The upper plate comes down onto the load, so it is held between the two plates.
3. **Turn.** The frame rotates 180° on hydraulic drive. Turning speed is adjustable, and the motion is smooth and free of vibration.
4. **Release.** The plate that is now on top lifts away, and the load stands inverted on the other plate.
5. **Unload.** The forklift takes the load away, or a new pallet is placed for the return turn.
Mechanical and electric stop blocks end the turn at 180° and protect the machine. The operator works from a separate control panel or a wireless remote, away from the frame.
What 180° turning is used for
- **Pallet change.** Moving goods from a timber pallet to a plastic or export pallet, or replacing a broken pallet.
- **Pallet-less loading.** Removing the pallet before loading a container to save weight and space.
- **Returning a fallen or inverted load.** Turning a stack the right way up without hand restacking.
- **Stacks of pallets or panels.** Turning a stack to reach the bottom item or to check both faces.

Body and base are welded steel profile. Fixing to the floor is by dead weight. The two power figures come from separate quotations and depend on the hydraulic pack fitted, so motor power for your machine is confirmed at quote.
Worked example: turns per shift
A site changes timber pallets to plastic pallets for export, one load at a time.

**Result.** The turn itself is a small part of the cycle; forklift handling sets the output. Planning the forklift path is worth more than a faster turn.
