The coil sits on drive rollers, and a ring opens through the coil eye. As the rollers turn the coil and the ring rotates, film spirals through the eye and around the coil wall until the whole coil is covered. On the FPH-300N, a special brake keeps the film running smoothly, and the wrapping tension is adjustable.

Because the coil turns while the ring rotates, each pass of film lands at a new point, so the ring and roller speeds together set the coverage. Our video shows this on a black pipe coil.

Illustrative examples: a 15 kg garden hose coil of 300 mm ID and 500 mm OD fits the FPH-200N. A 60 kg pipe coil needs the FPH-300N because it is over 30 kg.

These are run-time figures before breaks and film roll changes. If you need more, an automatic film cutter and feeder removes the film-start and film-cut steps, and conveyors remove the lifting.

Changeovers between coil sizes

The FPH-300N has a reset function that returns the ring to its start position, which makes changeovers between different hose coils fast. Its speed is set by a frequency converter, and overlap is adjustable from 10% to 90%, so you can set a lighter wrap for short-haul coils and a heavier one for export. It runs in manual or automatic mode. We confirm the FPH-200N’s changeover features in the proposal.

The FPH-300N has a safety guardrail, and the FPH-300N options include a light beam and a logo tape applicator. The standards that apply depend on the destination market. For CE markets, ISO 12100 sets the risk-assessment method and EN 415-10 sets general requirements for packaging machines.
