Why wrap hose coils
Hose and cable coils can tangle, dust or scuff while they are handled and stored. A protective film wrap holds the coil together and keeps the surface clean until the coil reaches its next process.
The machine applies the film in an automatic run, so the wrap is even across the coil with no hand-applied sheets. Coil size and film type are confirmed per project.

The machine is a film wrapping unit with a rotating fixture at the centre. A hose coil is placed on the fixture, the safety fence is closed, and the machine rotates the coil while the wrapping arm applies film around it from above.
The wrap runs automatically once the fence is closed, and the wrapped coil is lifted off by hand when the run stops. Coil size and wrap pattern are confirmed per project.
Rotating fixture and wrapping arm
The fixture grips the coil and rotates it in a horizontal plane while the wrapping arm moves over the top of the coil to lay film onto the surface. A film feed above the machine supplies the wrap as the arm travels.
A control cabinet beside the machine carries the push buttons and indicator lamps for the run. Fixture size and film feed are confirmed per project.

A normal cycle runs in three steps: the operator places the coil on the fixture, closes the safety fence, and starts the run from the control cabinet. The machine rotates the coil and winds the film, then stops for the operator to remove the wrapped coil.
The safety fence closes before the run starts and opens again when the cycle is finished. Cycle sequence and fence layout are confirmed per project.
