How the through-ring wrap works
A fast orbital wrapper is a through-ring machine for long goods. The load rides a powered belt conveyor and passes horizontally through a rotating film ring, which winds stretch film around the cross-section while the conveyor feeds the load forward. One pass therefore lays a full wrap along the whole length, and the load never has to turn.
The ring draws clear film from an overhead roll through guide rollers. A cut-and-press station trims and seals the film at the end of the pass, so the machine hands off a finished bundle without stopping the line.

Ring or turntable: which fits the load
Choose the machine by the shape of the goods, not by brand. An orbital ring fits long, straight goods such as pipe, tube, profile, board and crate, where the wrap must follow the full length in one pass. Choose a turntable wrapper when the load sits on a pallet footprint and the film wraps the girth of a standing stack. Long bundles that cannot turn are the orbital’s job; pallets that must stand still are the turntable’s.
Film pitch and containment
Pitch decides how much film a metre of load carries. A tighter pitch, with bands overlapping, gives more layers per metre and stronger containment. Half-pitch coverage is the economy setting for stable, compact stock, and a denser band runs for open crates or printed panels where surface covering matters. Set the ring speed and the conveyor feed from the PLC program, with automatic film feeding and a cut-press at the end of each pass.

The standard delivery for this machine class is designed to CE (EN ISO 13849-1 / EN 415-10) and OSHA design requirements. Interlocked perimeter fencing surrounds the ring cell, a transparent guard covers the ring and film path, and muting light curtains sit at the infeed and outfeed apertures where conveyors cross the fence. Dual-channel emergency-stop circuits are fitted at each operator position, and clause coverage for your destination market is confirmed at project engineering.
