Reifen und Reifenfolierung: Ein vollständiger Leitfaden

Executive summary Our automatic tyre packing line takes tyres straight from the infeed conveyor, wraps each one through the bead in stretch film and sends it on to taping, labelling and stacking. The line wraps one tyre every 30–35 s and stacks onto 1,200 × 1,200 mm storage pallets up to 1,200 mm high. Stand-alone FPT wrappers cover tyres from 510 to 1,400 mm OD. A worked example sets tyres per pallet and how often a full pallet leaves the line.

Why pack tyres inline instead of at the warehouse

A finished tyre picks up dust and scuffs every time someone handles it. If tyres are packed by hand at the warehouse, each one is lifted, carried and wrapped by a person, then stacked again.

Packing inline does it once. The tyre leaves production on a conveyor, is wrapped, taped, labelled and stacked on a storage pallet without anyone lifting it. The label data also goes back to your system, so the pallet is tracked from the moment it is built.

The flow from infeed to storage pallet

  1. Zuführung. Tyres arrive one by one on an inclined belt and drop onto a yellow roller conveyor.
  2. Verpackung. Supporting rollers lift the tyre into the ring, and the ring winds stretch film through the bead and round the tread.
  3. Tapen. An automatic taping device lays BOPP adhesive tape on the outside of the package, and cuts it to the tyre size.
  4. Beschriftung. An online printer prints and attaches a label, with the layout set on the touch screen.
  5. Stapeln. A robot clamps each packed tyre and stacks it on a storage pallet, then the full pallet leaves on the outfeed conveyor.

The roller conveyor and wrapper sit behind yellow mesh fencing, with the packed tyre leaving on the rollers in black film.

Inside the tyre wrapper

The ring carries the film on its own material wheels. As it turns, rollers turn the tyre slowly, so the film spirals all the way round. A clamper ties the film to the tyre at the start.

Inverters set the ring, roller and conveyor speeds separately, which is how the film overlap is set. Film tension is pre-set before the wrap starts. The rotating and centering rollers are covered with PU to protect the tyre, and the wrapper positions itself for different tyre OD.

Stand-alone FPT tyre wrappers

Where you do not need the full line, a stand-alone wrapper packs tyres at a workstation.

Modell Reifenaußendurchmesser Reifen-ID Länge Gewicht Zeitumschlag
FPT-200 510 – 800 mm 300 – 700 mm 40 – 250 mm 10-30 kg 18–30 s
FPT-300 800 – 1,200 mm 500 – 900 mm 80 – 300 mm 10-100 kg 25–40 s
FPT-400 1,000 – 1,400 mm 750 – 1,200 mm 80 – 400 mm 20-120 kg 35–50 s

The FPT-200 has a C-ring that opens upward, for loading car and motorcycle tyres from the top. The FPT-400 is built for truck and bus tyres. All three take PE, stretch film, knit belt, PP or silver paper.

Worked example: tyres per pallet and pallet rate

Take a car tyre that is 650 mm OD and 200 mm high after wrapping, inside the line’s 600–1,000 mm range. It goes on a 150 mm storage pallet. These are illustrative customer figures.

Tyres per layer. On a 1,200 mm pallet, 1,200 ÷ 650 = 1.8, so only one tyre fits each way. Two per side need a wrapped OD of 600 mm or less, the bottom of the range, with no clearance at all.

Lagen. The stack can use 1,200 − 150 = 1,050 mm. 1,050 ÷ 200 = 5.25, so 5 layers. Stacked straight, the pallet holds just 5 tyres.

Leitungsrate. At about 35 s per tyre, 3,600 ÷ 35 = 103 is the pure wrapping limit. Transfers between stations take time too, so we quote 80–90 tyres an hour for that wrap time.

Pallet rate. At 80–90 tyres an hour, a 5-tyre pallet fills every 3,600 ÷ 90 × 5 = 200 s to 3,600 ÷ 80 × 5 = 225 s. That is 16 to 18 pallets an hour, too many for one forklift.

So send us your pallet size and tyre OD together. A larger storage pallet or a different stacking pattern raises the count per pallet, and we program the robot for it.

Auswahlliste: Was Sie uns senden sollten

  1. Tyre OD, ID and width, smallest and largest.
  2. Schwerster Reifen.
  3. Reifen pro Stunde ab Produktion.
  4. Film, tape and label requirements, and the data the label carries.
  5. Storage pallet size and stack height.
  6. How full pallets leave: forklift, conveyor or automated store.

Sicherheit und EN 415-10

We build our tyre packing lines to CE requirements, with EN 415-10 as the reference and an ISO 12100 risk assessment. The main hazards are the turning ring, the lifting rollers and the robot’s stacking zone.

Mesh fencing encloses the wrapper and conveyor, and guardrails cover the moving parts. The ring starts and stops softly and resets to its home position. Keep the robot’s stacking area fenced while it runs.

Häufig gestellte Fragen zur Technik

Q: Can the line send packing data to our warehouse system? A: Yes. The labeller receives your data and sends package information back through its interface ports.

Q: Who changes the film roll on the line? A: The line exchanges packing material automatically, so the operator only restocks rolls.

Q: Does it handle truck tyres? A: The line covers 600–1,000 mm OD. For truck and bus tyres up to 1,400 mm, use the FPT-400 wrapper.

F: Welche Sicherheitsstandards gelten? A: Für CE-Märkte arbeiten wir nach EN 415-10 mit einer Risikobewertung nach ISO 12100.
