Why a wire coil compacting and strapping line matters

Wire coils take up space and lose their shape when they are loose. A loose coil of drawn wire can telescope, tangle, and damage its own outer laps during handling. The line shown in the video solves that in three steps: rewinding rebuilds the coil on a mandrel so the wire is laid down evenly; compacting squeezes the coil into a dense cylinder so it takes less space and holds together; and strapping locks the compacted shape so it survives lifting and transport.

That combination matters for wire producers and service centers because it changes what can be shipped. A compacted, strapped coil is denser per pallet or truck, it is safer to handle because the wire cannot uncoil, and it arrives in a condition that a downstream customer can process directly. The video shows the whole sequence as one line: rewind, compact, strap, remove — which is what makes the process repeatable at production volume.
