For big bearings the sequence matters: oil, then VCI film, then stretch film, laid in one pass. Our range runs from bearing wrappers for 600–1,200 mm OD up to the FPCA-6000 for slewing and wind-turbine bearings of 2,900–5,000 mm OD and up to 12,000 kg. Why big bearings need careful packing

A large bearing is precision-ground steel worth a great deal, and it often spends months in transit and storage before fitting. Raceways rust from a fingerprint or sea air; seals and faces get dented when the ring is lifted or set down. Hand wrapping such a ring takes a team, the layers are uneven, and the bore is hard to reach.

A machine wraps through the bore while the bearing turns, so every surface gets the same layers, with one operator.

The protection sequence

On the FPCA-6000 the oil tank, pump and sprayer are built in, and three rolls (VCI, stretch, stretch) lay all three film layers in one pass.

How a big bearing is wrapped

Zatížení. The bearing is set on the machine by crane or trolley. On large machines it is held upright between support columns and rollers.
Pozice. The machine is adjusted to the bearing OD so the ring runs through the bore.
Olej. The sprayer coats the bearing as it turns.
Zabalit. The ring passes through the bore and lays the films while the rollers turn the bearing.
Cut and unload. The cutter clamps and cuts the films, and the wrapped bearing moves out to the conveyor or crane.

Orange guards cover the wrapping zone, and the whole cycle is run by one operator.

The FPCA-6000 also needs OD − ID under 950 mm, which means a radial ring section, (OD − ID) ÷ 2, of under 475 mm, so the wrapping ring can pass round the section.

Its positioning frame adjusts for bearing ODs of 1,000–6,500 mm, wider than the listed 2,900–5,000 mm wrapping range; bearings outside that range are confirmed at quote. For bearings between these ranges, the FPCA 1500 economic vertical wrapper (as named in our quotations), loaded from the top by crane or by trolley, is an alternative, or a machine is built to your range.

Bezpečnost: EN 415-10 a ISO 12100

Bearing wrappers are built to EN 415-10, with the risk assessment done to ISO 12100. The hazards are the turning ring, the heavy rotating bearing, crane loading and the film cutter. Guards cover the wrapping zone, and the bearing is loaded and unloaded only with the ring stopped.
